...and I mean that in the bad way
My last real date brought his mother along and insisted I address her as "mom". Then there was octopus guy. He was all hands and lips. He showed up to the date in a shirt, shorts, brown sandals and white socks which he spent a good part of the date pulling up. Then there was the guy I really liked, but his elderly Jack Russell didn't like me. The dog only had one good tooth which found it's way into my leg. I believe the tooth is still in there. The hobby is a good fit for me...Lots of fun kinky drama!So, I'm thinking what's better - a date with a civvy which has a 50% chance of being tolerable, forget sex, or a date with a Provider, which means it'll definitely be fun? (I wasn't thinking of asking this gal out and bailing on my session - I've never canceled a session on short notice).
I date the occasional civvy and I've had several relationships including a marriage, so, I ain't against dating a civvy.
This "hobby" is great for me! I've been hobbyin for 15ish years. I can't hardly remember what it's like to not hobbying. A lotta guys, it seems, hobby with many providers - they play the field so to speak. Ain't nuthin wrong w/that! I hobby with a select few. I form informal relationships w/my Providers and that's a big part of the experience IMHO

Last nite I had a session scheduled with a fav. I went to local restaurant to have dinner at the bar before the session. Restaurant wasn't crowded and there were two empty seats between me and a gal. We ignored each other until she looked at me - actually until she sized me up. I did the same. I give her a 7 on looks - she wasn't real impressed with me. I'll freely admit that I'm not the best looking guy in the Carolinas, but, I ain't bad! - I'm in decent shape!

Once upon a time in Oregon, I was sitting in a movie theater enjoying the movie, when all of a sudden 5 shots rang out! Bang!, Bang!, Bang!, Bang!, Bang!, the lights went up, and there was a guy standing about 20 feet from me holding the object of the Banging! Screams, peeps jumping up, me hitting the floor---figured it was better than getting that 6th bullet in my head
) Seems the guy with the 5 holes in his head was dating the X-wife of the shooter, and, what a nice guy he was---he waited until his little girl got up to go to the lobby to get popcorn before he shot the dater) How nice! He then went to the lobby and turned himself in. Careful out there civi daters!
TWICE...in my younger years and before the hobby. I had two dates who took me to the establishment where their ex girlfriend/ex wife was working. It was not pretty. I'm lucky I didn't get hurt in the fight BOTH TIMES.....both altercations stayed verbal

Besides the usual "I never wanna see this woman again" after 5 minutes of seeing her for the 1st time, looking back I realize that my batting average of choosing who to date sucks....sucks bad....sucks really bad. I'd/you'd think that I would get better at choosing....but, apparently not.
One of my favs was a 1st date which was a dinner. For 85 of the 90 minutes of dinner at a nice restaurant she texted non-stop. I guess I didn't impress her enuff to even merit a casual conversation. And she pings me a week later and asks why I haven't contacted her - I told her I would after I get thru texting - that was 3 years ago - I still haven't contacted her.
I'm glad as Hell for this Hobby - w/o it I'd be celibate...
Well that is not always true. One time a good forty plus years ago I was in a dive bar in Morgan City Louisiana and this guy was sitting there getting drunk off his ass and telling everyone who would listen about how he was going to walk next door and kill the guy who had been fucking his wife.
Well most of us just chalked it up to "drunk talk" until after several hours of working himself up to it, sure enough the guy walked next door and emptied his pistol into the poor sab who had been fucking his wife.
I hear you where it comes to texting, a buddy of mine and I used to check out all the couples in a restaurant to see how many guys dates were ignoring them and yakking on their cell phones. Talking, texting, twittering on a date is all the same to me. I don't know why guys put up with it. Oh wait, yes I do know why, it's because they aren't smart enough to drop the dead weight and go out and find a nice hooker to spend their time and money on. lol
Go with the provider... at least you are not going to waste time and money on endless dates!
