Relax, The girls are experienced with this type of Hpoefully temporary phase you are going though.  If it persists see your urologist try viagra but most of all realize that we have all gone through this from time to time.

What causes performance problems in a healthy athletic guy of 46?  I have had trouble getting it up and cumming during my last three encounters with providers (all three are highly rated and attractive).  I thought I was relaxed prior to the meetings.  I don't have a significant other to continuously test my performance.  I would like to continue to see providers about once a month as they are my main sexual outlet.  However, I now have this acute performance anxiety.  What is supposed to be a pleasurable and spontaneous activity has turned into a challenge to conquer.  It is frustrating both for me and for those providers.  The fear of failure is now being fed by another fear, namely that the provider(s) would be reluctant to see me if she anticipates a repeat dull performance.  I would like to break this vicious cycle of failure once for all, but I don't how.  I am not too keen on taking medication.  I would welcome advice from both providers and hobbyists.

Don't worry about the lady, she will be understanding (after all it's a business to her), but get yourself to a doctor for a physical. Are you exercising, keeping weight under control, watch out for fatty foods. Could be a lotta things, but don't get up tight about it, happens to a lot of guys your age, and usually passes and things get back to normal, but if it continues, definitely see a doc.

You might want to try Viagra, even temporarily, while you give yourself some time to relax from all the stress you are putting yourself under.

Ok, first things first. Sit down...take a deep breath. I have a bunch of good news for ya.

You are not alone in this problem. Over 24.5% of the male population has one problem or another. That means that one in five men have a problem to some extent.

Many factors contribute to this problem. Over 98% have nothing to do with you as a man. Let me repeat that.....OVER 98% HAVE NOT ONE DAMN THING TO DO WITH YOU AS A MAN. Hope you have got that.

You say you are very active. That is a damn good thing. Do you take any kind of Blood Pressure meds? Most likely the answer to that is no, but it is a fair question. Do you have any problems with depression or work related stress? Anti depression meds are really bad about killing male labido.  Stress on the job or in life (in general) are a real killer to the ol solider reporting for duty!  Do you drink booze/caffine drinks before sex? If so...stop that right now.

Bottom line....here is the real big, good news I promised ya) almost in all cases, a trip to your local MD will be your best bet. Again...this is a very comon problem and more men than you think suffer from it. The damn shame of it all is they are too damn stupid and too ego centered to go get the help they need. And the cure rate is damn good at that.

You do NOT have to suffer from this problem. A provider, if you tell her, more then likely will be more then happy to slow down and get you to relax. More often than not...it is stress related.Any provider worth her salt will understand. Do NOT be a male ego bull #$%^ and not see your MD. He/She will be able to help. I promise.
Ozzy!!!!!!
P.S. Relax...slow down. Sex at our age is only getting better when we take our time.......BTW/FYI, have the same problem. As I said, your not alone.

But see your doctor also. If your blood pressure is rising (regardless of how athletic you are) you need treatment. There are many physical causes for performance woes - that's why I'd run to the doctor and resolve at least those issues.
Get yourself a free sample from your doctor and see if it works for you...
Good luck

The drug has its place...but only in the hands of a qualified MD. If in fact there is BP problems, (good chance there is) hypertension as well as HYPOTENSION can be made worse by the use of some of these types of meds. ONLY YOUR DOCTOR CAN TELL YOU WHAT IS MEDICALLY RIGHT FOR YOU. ONLY YOU AND HE/SHE CAN DECIDE WHAT COURSE OF TREATMENT IS BEST.

(he mentioned not wanting to take medication)  then asked for advice.
In my case I need my brain activated to get the "full effect".  So a pretty gal jumping on me doesn't always do it for me like it used to a year ago. (probably since I'm on heart medication and insulin and only have one leg)
So a pretty gal jumping on me AND talking dirty, or simple conversation, or maybe even role-playing, etc., puts my head in the right place and therefore Little Sampson is in the right place.
(Just kidding about the one leg thing.)

Thanks for all your responses.  It is curious that there have been none from providers.

Providers rarely have medical degrees (I know of some who do). Don't seek advice from people who don't know anything about the subject! Seek medical attention first.
