Tasha's right. You'll never have pro football there because of the local "culture."

A huge market...teams would make a killing there. Plus I could drive into the stadium and place action while ordering my tasty beverage. The games would also attract tourists visiting vegas.....I guess the NFL Vice squad is preventing this....legalized gambling...just too close for the NFL????? Shit if I was the owner of the Jags I would be lobbying for this stat.

I think that would be a starting point for new franchisees and is a major reason LA does not have a franchise yet.

A second issue would be does Vegas have a local fan base large enough to support a franchise or would the fan base be predominantly out of town visitors?

If the fan base is out of town tourists, what happens when the economy goes in the shits like the current cycle and Vegas suffers a significant dropoff in visitors? Would the franchise be able to survive?

Finally, legalized gambling although I don't believe this is a major issue because I think both large and small states; large and small cities will be moving in this direction to raise money to close billion dollar budget deficits and look for additional revenues to raise significant cash.

Which is an absolute dump.  That is a good reason why there is no NFL team in Las Vegas.

gambling.  Vegas has grown so much that a fan base soon won't be an issue, particularly if LA remains without a team.  Gambling is another matter, but I'm sure a way can be found to deal with it.
