I don't think the thrill would be gone, at least not the good thrill. The excitement of getting busted is something I can do without, and I've managed to reduce that chance by being more picky about who I see.

As far as legalizing it, I suspect there would still be many women who would choose to fly under the radar. Many of the girls I see these days have "real" jobs and probably wouldn't feel inclined to report their secondary income, although that would open up a new investigative avenue for the authorities. How much effort they would put into it I'm not sure.

One consideration is that the majority of girls who advertise strictly through BP or other similar sites aren't going to have the mental acuity and stability to start a business and run it well. We would see more agencies pop up which hopefully would provide legitimacy to some of those girls and would translate into a more stable lifestyle, though many of them would probably continue on as they always have. Prices for services would likely fall.

If we're ever as liberal as Germany some people might not have to pay at all.

The idea has also been floated for the non-disabled. One would only have to prove that they can't get sex on their own and can't afford it. I can finally quit my job and loaf in style!

Things are changing all around us.  Marijuana is being legalized in a few states for non medical uses.  BP is now being censored or monitored more heavily.  Do you think prostitution will ever be legalized and what are your thoughts on it?

Prostitution is legal in Nevada, outside of Clark county which houses Las Vegas.  If prostitution is legalized do you think the taboo and thrill of the hobby would be lost?  Would there be so much oversight on cost/taxes that it wouldn't be as enjoyable?  Do you think it would hurt independent ladies or help

I support decriminalization, not legalization. Legalization = regulation, and means that government is more up in my biz, and my vagina, than they're already trying to be.

Besides the fact I don't think the uptight , unhealthy and hypocritical cultural attitude toward sexuality in this country would ever tolerate  legalize prostitution, I'm not sure it's even a good idea.
Mainly because  if legal , much of the activity would move underground for anonymity and tax evasion.

I kinda like the saner Canadian model. Prostitution is illegal. And those laws are enforced when it comes to public solicitation , brothels and Street walking. But escorting is not unlawful. It is the attitude and legal opinion of LE that what happens between an escort and a client i.e. two consenting adults in the privacy of a hotel room is nobodies Fing business.

Bet those ladies/clients would vote to get LE out of this profession and into patrolling the streets where the REAL criminals lurk! You ladies and your clients are NOT CRIMINALS! Makers of laws need to tour a prison sometime, and the difference will become clearly visible to them!!!
