Cousin down south of Ballantyne has basically nothing - we have over 5 inches.

Welcome to Charlotte.

Seen storms where Huntersville got literally nothing and south Charlotte had over 8 inches.

Had a storm where north Charlotte had 2 inches and a girl who worked for me in Union county had 18 plus and kids where out of school for a week. Very fickle when it comes to snow in North Carolina. In-laws live north of Raleigh and plenty of times we got nothing here and they got a foot plus.

Wine rack is full , a couple bottles of good brandy and a bottle of port left over from Christmas . Even some Kahlua for hot chocolate & coffee.
Plenty of TP , ample incrediants for soups & stews. Milk and bread.
Even got someone scheduled to shovel my drive tomorrow afternoon.

Am I missing anything?

Of course I moved down here from DC with the promise I'd never have to deal with " dig out " snow again. But.....whatever.

I suspects kids are dealing with mixed emotions. Excited about a reeeeeal snow event. But pissed it's happening on a weekend instead of a school day ....lol

Snow does not bother me.  Granted a little snow shuts down part of SC pretty easy.  As long as it does not impact my trip up to Charlotte on Monday I am good.  I do not think it will but you never know.

Your favorite someone snowed in with you for the weekend!

Now that would top it all off, and of course some playoff football to boot!

Milk sandwiches !!

We've had one big snow in the last 30 years, and it was so warm afterwards it was slush in a couple days. Mostly they call for snow, it snows an inch or three and is mostly gone the next day.

since the temps are going to be downright frigid with single digit lows Sunday morning. I think there's going to be a difference in what Raleigh gets compared to Durham with Durham getting more snow. Time will tell but peeps in the RTP/Durham, Chapel Hill area, be prepared for over 6 inches. Raleigh, 4-6.

Snow is great, and wonderful to look at. Ice, however, is another story all together.  Y'all please be careful up in NC - looks like it could be rough up there tomorrow and Monday.

Forecast says it will be 70 here Friday, so at least there's that!

6 inches of powder in the NC foothills...and now the sun has come out. Melt baby melt!! Not a fan of the snow.. Everyone be safe out there!

Same here. Ice could be bad tonight but it's turning out to be pretty normal.
