At any venue in Las Vegas, the NFL limits the size of the TV screen

Back when New England played Carolina I went to a Super Bowl party at a Las Vegas Hotel/Casino.  The NFL said the game couldn't be shown on a screen larger than 55 vertical inches.  It took all the fun out of watching the game.  I even missed the Justin Timberlake/Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction at halftime.

For all the Who Dats who can't make the trip to South Florida what better place to watch the big one but the SuperDome on the big screens?  One would think this is a no brainer but in Louisiana when you make something idiot proof damn if they don't come along with a better idiot.  NFL won't allow it. Why? It's a rating number game.  If you put 80 thousand Who Dat Yats in the Dome watching the game on the big screens that counts as one TV, if they watch if from home that is 80 thousand TVs and the ratings numbers go up.

There is dumb and there is really dumb.

a few years ago. Not sure if the NFL did it for ratings per se, but they didn't want the hotels making money by showing the games in their large conference type rooms.

It would be one hell of a party, the beer vendors would make a fortune no matter who wins
