I wanted to thank all of the gentleman I have met in the last four months of being in San Diego. I have had a rocken time with this new adventure of mine. Have a Merry Christmas and I hope to see you in the new year. One question maybe some of you could help me with. Why would a gentleman (for lack of another word) place a bogus review? Especially if the two never met? Strange... Thanks again and hope to see you in the new year!!

Maybe he was trying to get three months of free membership if he reviewed 3 or more provider. That the only reason I could come up with.

Word has it that LE does it to build up confidence as well

I know you've added joy to my life, and hope that (at least) 10x as much comes back your way!

Regarding reviews, I've heard that false reports can fall under 3 basic categories: (1) someone did see you, but changed around the actual facts so as to be unrecognizable (services, price, looks, location, etc.), (2) someone never saw you, just wanted free membership (pretty common), or (3) someone never saw you, just wanted to slam you (could be posted by another lady?).

It you accept reviews, true or not, they will run the gamut, so be prepared to accept that you have little to no control over them.  It's better to be critical of who you see, and of the time you spend together, than what they might write afterwards.  Word of Mouth will outbeat any reviews either way, and over time that's probably what counts more.  Other providers and hobbyists will stand up for you, if your reputation is solid.

And if you have serious issues with a review, then send in a Problem Report to Staff and/or post something here on the local board.  If you keep some type of minimal record of who you saw, you can easily validate most reviews.

my 2 cents and several more smooches, fahrkle

I know that no bogus review would ever come from me when it comes to you :)  Whomever reads this should know that you are nothing but class, smiles and great times!!!  Anbody who thinks otherwise has to get their head examined.  Wish I could see you tomorrow!!!  :)

Great point! I usually don't tell a provider what my screen name is on TER. If I say that I found them on TER and they ask for my screen name, I very simple decline to tell them. It has never been a problem.
Recently, there was a thread related to a provider who stated that someone had posted a bogus review of her. She had proof. I even went to visit her to check it out for myself. Sure enough, her place was different that what the reviewer described. To a certain extent, she got burned by the reviewer for no good reason. Even if she was a poor performer, he still probably would of described her place accurately. I don't think that he ever saw her.  Just my .02 cents.

But, if they don't know your screen name, how can they look at your reviews? How can they see who you've visited?
Reading the reviews and putting the person with them is certainly VERY important to me!
