and pretty much all the hotels in that area are nice 
I have to attend a funeral close by and was thinking of heading to Raleigh. Any suggestions on affordable and nice places to stay or places to avoid??
Thanks in advance and for quickly replying as I will be heading out tomorrow on my trip.Just checked Priceline's Express Buy feature and it looks like 3-3.5 star places are running about $86-180 depending on location. Depending on your personal commitments, Downtown Raleigh or North Hills would be good spots to be. The best pricing is around RDU/RTP, but you'll be jumping in your car because it's about 20 minutes to get anywhere from there. Downtown Durham has the best walking/food combo and is about 25-30 minutes northwest of downtown Raleigh. Chapel Hill is 35-45 minutes west of Raleigh and also has great walking and food. It's a home game weekend for UNC, so hotel prices are a little higher.
