For hobbyists, we all have our personal preferences when it comes to the hobby. Some hobbyists prefer blondes, others brunettes. Some hobbyists like to do dinner dates followed by "dessert", others like spending the full date in the private intimate setting of a hotel room or private residence. There's one field of preference that I haven't seen discussed amongst us: dates during the week or dates during the weekend. I personally like dates on the weekend. For me, dates during the week can be a crapshoot sometimes, mostly due to work. But weekends are by far my favorite. Whenever I'm in town on the weekends and have a full weekend of nothing planned, I take advantage . I have a full day to do whatever I please, with no rush in having to plan based around anything . Occasionally I'll be asked by a friend or family member to assist with a chore or I'll have friends in town for something, but mostly I have an open schedule. I have one favorite provider who's always around on the weekends who has a flexible schedule who's willing to meet anytime. Plus, she handles all her appointments out of her posh upscale apartment in the RDU/Brier Creek area. Who else likes having their appointments on the weekends?

My observation... most hobbyists are available on weekdays. Easier to get away from SO, work, etc.
Football season is nearly upon us and the wives are not the only sports widows out there.

hadn't really thought about it until you mentioned but as I look back over it here's what I see myself doing over the course of time. For the most part I don't have to worry about stories or excuses to get away so that makes it somewhat easier for me in that regard.
Visiting
Most of the time it's during the week in the evening. I generally wind up traveling a minimum of an hour each way for the visitors so I can wind up with 4-6 hours tied up in any visit at a minimum depending on the length of the visit itself. Getting away quickly from work or early in the morning usually doesn't work for me, hence the evening play. It's not that no ladies ever visit my town but most of the time they hit cities that are 1-2 hours away from me.
Local
I'll define local as within a 30 minute drive of my area and there are some good choices. In that case I still find that most of the time its an evening visit during the week. I seem to find myself really busy with "normal" life on the weekends.
Weekends really seem to be the exception for me unless I'm the one who has traveled, say to Vegas, then its a whole different game.
Hell.. My regular is 4 hours away, yes 4 hours, and we still wind up seeing each other during the week. The logistics can get interesting at times but we work it out and life is good as weekends don't really work that well for either of us
And while I know it may be harder for gentleman with SO's to get away for some fun, the weekend has a different vibe and it's when I typically can host. during the week I cater to the after work kinda guy who wants to relax a kick back after a hard days work. I love both of course, but a weekend date has a different feel to it and I positively love it!

...but sometimes I can get away earlier on a weekday (like a Wednesday or Thursday).
It's just difficult to get away with school and work.
School and work? They sound vaguely familiar, but I just can't place them ...LOL
---but to nail it down, I would say in the late morning, with the windows up letting the ocean breeze waft over us, while listening to the birds celebrating another boo ful day, course, I'm humming my own good morning song--Hello, Kit tay!, Yum!, Yum!, er, hum!, hum!, hum!, OR Twigh Light Time, Listening to the Platters singing that song. I'm foot loose and fancy free these days, soooo, days of the week are wide open(no dirty thoughts with those two words;P~~~~ )
I prefer weekends because of similar things you have mentioned. I personally have a normal 9-5 and a pretty full plate most of the time. I have came to the conclusion that the majority of hobbyists prefer weekdays though so they can sneak away from work & not worry about the wifey as much. The weekend hobbyist prefers a longer engagement and getting to know me, I have had more dinner dates & extended dates on the weekend for certain.
