Some are just more realistic than others. If there is any error made here, it is in the direction of providers feeling that they are better than the rest and boost their rates accordingly (a sure sign that they are a cut above everyone else - HA!) . Are there any of us who don't feel we are worth more for what we do in our jobs? So why should things be different here? Of course, what you charge is not necessarily what your service is worth in all cases. But as long as we guys do most of our thinking with our little heads, any and all craziness in pricing is possible.
I was recently told by a provider that she is recieving threats against her due to the fact that her price as stated in her TER profile is only a $. I really hope this is more fancy than fact. If there is room in the automobile marketplace for Geo-Metros to be sold as well as Aston Martins then why not also here in the hobby.
In the past 24 months I have watched the prices clime steadily for the services of some of the more popular Providers in our community. Many came into the community at a much lower rate and have diligently worked and improved their product to justify the rates they are now commanding. Some ladies however are jumping into the scene thinking just because they have a pretty face & figure they deserve astronomical rates. The lady in question here has decided to market to the larger 95% of the consumer base rather than to the top 5%. This I find refreshing as well as pragmatic on the part of the lady. I find some of the reactions from other "ladies???" to her marketing strategy quite disturbing indeed though.

"ladies can choose who they see and what they charge", don't we constantly hear this? So why can't she charge what she want's? It's just insecurity rearing it's ugly head. If most of these ladies would put as much energy in their own business rather than sticking their noses into everyone elses, we all would be better off.
I have charged various amounts during my time as a provider. These amounts have ranged from $150 - $300 per hour. Although my prices my fluctuate, my standard of service and charming personality do not. (It's a joke. Please don't PM me saying how uncharming I am.) Seriously, my prices will most likely vary from time to time, but the reality is that I am the exact same provider no matter what I charge. I am kind, compassionate, bright, strong willed, fun and for the most part, enjoy what I do. I am annoyed when people think providers who charge less than market average are less than average providers. I am just as wonderful as any other provider in my market at half the price.
there are providers who are rough around the edges at all prices... Now a jewel in the rough is twice as expensive (but is many gentlemen's fantasy)
get in touch with the lovely, beautiful, fun and charming YOU. BTW, I am looking at getting your "usual" super-services for $150.00 since it really doesn't matter to you at all. Your generousity is overwhelming and appreciated. Where else could someone get a real deal on such services!!

I'm sure she will get in touch with you when and if she decides to drop her rates to your acceptable level.
In the meantime, I will continue paying her current rate to have the privilege of her company.
Leave you addy here...for what? For an alias to contact another alias?? That is truley a real "Blind Date" in my parlance. Since no one supposedly knows who this "Interesting Woman" is, why bother?
Should we feel honored if she decides out of the kindness of her heart to contact us? I don't think so! I prefer to know the woman before deciding to see her myself.

then she needs to make sure to keep herself secure--was it a boyfriend or a provider that threatened her? And what was the threat? In this biz, we sort of live by mutually assured destruction so she may be overworrying. As for the value she provides, I am a dyed-in-the-wool capitalist and strongly believe that the market needs correction now and then. I can afford $$$$ and more but why should I pay it if a perfectly good provider will give great service for $$ or $$$? As for those providers demanding (and allegedly getting) multiple $k for their service, you all already know my opinion--I can't imagine a provider that charges 10X $$$ is really 10X better.
I've seen some ladies get chastised for having rates too low and some for having rates too high. It's a smart marketing tool to run specials every now and then, but I find that when I lower my rates too much, I definitely get a different type of client. I hate to say that, but that's the luck I've had in the past. However, if I have a regular, I will give him discounts. That's my way of showing how much I appreciate his business. Personally, it's no one's business what you charge -- whatever works for you.

While I can understand your position of keeping stated rates high to attract a certain level of client, there is a bit of a downside to this practice I think. It may cause some gentlemen of the type you want, NOT to make that first contact simply because the rate is starting to get "over the top". I have noticed the rates for a number of gals starting to reach into the $$$$ range. To be very honest, there is really no incentive for me to meet some new women at those rates when my regulars already offer far better rates. You are a case in point Ciara - while I have an interest in meeting you, somewhat dubious of extending to your stated level for a first time meet. Your comment about "specials" is a very good one, although there seem to be fewer and fewer of them from the more established women.

regardless if you are a 25,000 a night kind of woman to a 100 dollar an hour. As long as you are comfortable, there will always be men to pay your pricing. If one man cannot afford it, learn to say NEXT, for there will be another one to take his place, and actually complete the deed lol

I completely understand how you feel, and that's okay. Like I said, to each his/her own. My rates also depend upon the season, and my regulars are not charged more when I do raise my donation fees but, of course, you wouldn't have known that. On the other hand, if you look at a lot of providers'gratuities, they're two-hour rates and higher than mine. There is a method to my madness. I care more for two-hour appointments than the one-hour appointments. I, too, want it to feel more like a date (not a streetwalker -- I feel for them). That's why I mentioned that it was nobody's business. You never know until you walk in another's shoes. I appreciate your feedback though -- makes me want to meet you.
