Hey beautiful - it's been a while.  Are you talking about somewhere to stay and visit or areas to host? I guess ones that are in that area a lot will have better answers but I was there a little while ago and stayed at the Spectator which I loved.  It can be pricy but most hotels in Charleston are.  They have a great bar that locals will stop into.  I hosted while there and it wss easy to meet in the bar area and then head upstairs.

Near the airport seems to be a good central location in Charleston. Several mid-priced hotels are nearby. Downtown can be a challenge due to lack of parking at some places in the historic district. Do you have dates planned?

Mt Pleasant is pretty safe;  airport to N.Charleston can be sketchy!
