Risk of getting busted?????

I have made a two hour appointment with a provider that will be traveling to my area soon. She has an incall location at a local hotel and - perhaps I'm just being paranoid - I got to wondering what the chances are that this type of arrangement would be the subject of LE involvement? Anyone have any comments regarding this?

Personally, I prefer a more spontaneous arrangement.  If it is a sting, they'll get you by having an "takedown" location set up. Suggest an alternate location to her and observe her response. As for the chance that she's LE, not likely...however, those who get caught don't see it coming until it's too late.

I hope you took time to read reviews to know if she is for real.If so and you didn't make your appointment on a billboard or put an add in the paper what would lead you to this paranoia. I've never heard of an LE sting using a reputable provider traveling to their area to help them. They have no cause to bust in on you. I mean , come on.  A healthy dose of paranoia can be a good thing if it causes us to think things through and do good research.    after all  " Just because your paranoid, it doesn't mean they aren't really after you"

I had assumed your handle referred to state of arousal, but I can see you are a Woody Allen fan. Maybe a clever double entendre? Damn, there I go using French again!

Yes, the provider has many good reviews on TER as do other providers from the same agency. I'm not so concerned about the provider(s) cooperating with LE but being the victim of same. I'm sure I am just being over cautious.

LE can and does use providers, who have a ton of reviews. Be carefully, be very carefully.

No need to name names, but can you give a little more info on likely or actual scenarios?

Give the guy a break; getting busted would really just about *kill* some of us! (knocks on wood).

I remember the relief I felt the first time I went to a provider and, after the donation exchange, she started to doff her clothes...and nobody burst into the room with badges and loud voices.

It's a very real fear.

To teh author: my advice is, for your first time, be sure your provider is well reviewed, and by hobbyists whose names you see a  lot on these boards. Cross reference: (hope I don't get in trouble for suggesting this...) Look on not only TER, but TRB, HT, and others. Narrow your list to some who appear a LOT and seem to have some history. Those are likely pretty safe.

There are alot of under cover stings going on all around the US. It is about time for a another major bust. If you don't feel comfortable cancel the appointment. In recent years you will be suprised the level of detail LE will thru to get folks arrested.

People will protect themselves first even it is means getting a hobbist or provider in trouble with the law.

Watch out in particular for providers who always have hours during the normal working hours. Watch the one's who are never available to provide service in the evening.

The major bust will come when an arrested provider tests positive for HIV. The folks in power can't wait until this happens so they can play it up in the news media.

OK so I am paranoid enough to answer your query with another alias JUST IN CASE!  But, I feel that a travelling provider taking a room at a nice hotel who is reviewed (as mentioned previously:DID YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK?!) poses a zero risk of getting busted.  If she is LE, it is unlikely she will have reviews (unless she has 1 or 2).  IN general, stick to well reviewed providers.  My hat is off to those who 'take one for the guys' as I feel they are running the highest risk.  How does anyone know that you are not visiting an old friend at her hotel?  Again, if she is LE, then you are screwed.  Again, if she is reviewed, then you are safe.

Number one is to always trust your gut feeling. If it does not look good, then there is something setting off an alarm.
Look elsewhere.

LE tends to go after the provider.  In any event, no one said anything about sex for money.  You're just looking for someone to talk to.  Right?
