While the allegations on that site are a little alarming, I am suspicious.  First, that site looks like it might be a competitor, although I didn't hang long enough to see if they have pay memberships.  Second, the tone to all the posts was essentially the same, far different from the myriad voices we read here.  Third, your post asking this very question made it through the "TER censor."  If what the thread at the other site stated was valid, your post shouldn't have gotten through.  BUT let's hear from some vets and old hands.  I'm still a relative rookie, but I'll tell you that for me personally, TER has been solid gold!  :)

Staff and TER users:
I found this link (posted in the links field below) posted on another board and I'm very concerned about the content. I'm wondering if TER staff has any comment to make on this thread?
Is there truth to any of these allegations? If so, what is your policy on cooperating with LE?
If not true, what is your policy in cooperating with LE?
I'm not trying to point fingers or accuse, I'm simply trying to put my mind, and the minds of others, at ease. There seem to be quite a few allegations floating around. I'm hoping it's just gossip. I am using an alias to post this thread as I'd prefer not to have my name in this at all, I'm only asking.
Secondarily, if you'd care to comment on the other accusations regarding the owner using strong arm tactics with providers to cull free services, that would be helpful as well.
I appreciate the opportunity to have an open discussion on this topic and others as well. I ask only out of concern for my safety and the safety of hobbyists and providers alike, that use and trust this site and those who run it, to have our best interests at heart.
Thank you Staff, in advance, for your well thought out and honest response.

FlowX does look like a competitor site, with a a vague resemblance to TBD in setup.  I did notice the site stated it was a "beta" version, so it appears to be a developing work-in-progress.  Ironically, on the site's entrance page, is a banner link to TER.

I don't think there's any reason to hit the panic button yet.  Similar accusations & allegations hit that other board a couple of years ago to no avail.  I would consider the referenced posts hearsay until solid evidence to the contrary proves otherwise.

The provider who posted that message, Britney Love, has posted on every forum on the internet that would allow her to post.

From what I can tell, Britney Love was advertising her in call services in Burbank,CA on craigs list.  Burbank Police Department showed up at her in call.  They did not arrest her, but “strongly” suggested she move her in call to another city.  Britney Love now is convinced that I have the power to call Burbank PD and make this happen.

I did not have anything to do with this. Can I prove this? No.

I did not have anything to do with the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  Can I prove this?  No.

As adults, we hear things every day.  Based upon our experiences in life, we evaluate the things we hear deciding what is more or less likely to happen.  Eventually, someone is going to have to use a bit of common sense.

On a closing thought, how cool would it be to have that kind of power over a police department?  I wish I could just get this speeding ticket fixed!

Dear Staff;
While I have not been on these boards all that long, I for one will stand here and say that I have faith and confidence in you.
I'm not worried.

Just my opinion...

This sounds like the same crap that Chelsea Madrid pulled to bring down Desperado's website by her repetitive complaints to his website host.  The website host just wanted to wash their hands of it all.  Why would anyone, short of a rapist, want to have sex with someone who really doesn't want to with you? Can you imagine the one ticked off woman slyly giving a BBBJ to keep from getting banned and then... CRUNCH! (Can you feel the pain!)

For those who don't know, the "Blue Pond" actually known as the LAISFUN board, was TER's predecessor. It had a blue website background.  TER happened to pop up not long afterwards, but TER denies any relationship to Desperado.  Hmmmmmmm...

Chelsea had a board of her own at the time as well, but it didn't get a lot of participation.

The Blue Pond was started by a guy named Parsi. It was originally a FBSM board, and the guys who posted were so thrilled to get a HJ att he end of the massage. It was quite a courtly group. The F/S guys came in shortly afterwards, and the rest is history. A (now retired) outcall FBSM provider got busted in OC because of the Pond's visibility and Parsi "resigned" the board, where Des took over. While I suspect at least a cultural connection between Desperado & Parsi, and Desperado's use of multiple handles (his view of this is ethical to him since the Internet in his eyes, is make believe, which ironically has something in common with Chelsea's reviews, but I digress), there's no conclusive evidence they are the same person.

Desperado went private after the Chelsea incident, which as I remember it, involved Chelsea calling his employer and explicitly discussing what Des was doing on company time.  I could be wrong about this, but this was the most popular version of what happened. I also remember Des earning Chelsea's wrath, it didn't happen randomly. There were a number of boards on Delphi afterwards.

But don't cry for Des, he's doing quite well, including (under yet another alias) running LA's largest private board. Des, who by my count has at least three accounts on TER (since inception, the number may well be in double digits), is sensitive about people discussing him or his alter egos, so I'll leave that up to him. It is kind of funny that a guy in his line of work is so right wing politically.

As for TER, I don't think it's a good idea for them to have an official relationship with anyone, although I'm sure there are plenty of alliances and unofficial relationships, and maybe even a rabbi or two as well. Notwithstanding my respect for Staff, some things might be better left to speculation.

girls for free and LE at my disposal... what a life... Staff, you sure you're not hiring?!  I'll work for free as long as those perks mentioned apply.  Hahha... :D

At least if you REALLY want to have an honest dialogue about this issue.  It is not possible that the responses would not be biased by the simple fact of the forum itself, and who controls it.  If the accusations are false, that's all well and good, but if some of the accusations are true, do you think that they would be allowed to be made, un-moderated, on this forum?

-jumping up and down with clenched fists, expending lots of energy, getting my fuckface on-  . . . oh, waituhminut. There are better ways to expend lots of energy.  Heh, heh.

It is really stupid to think that Staff would go and screw every single provider he can get his hands on so that they can be allowed to have reviews and participate on TER!  If you believe that then I have a swamp in Florida for you with great views!

Someone also made a comment about aliases, while they themselves have been using several different aliases here on TER!  This is a very common practice on the Internet and you see it on all discussion boards and chat rooms.

People, think with your head, the big one, before posting please!

The way real estate prices are going up in S-Florida, it might be a great investment to buy that swamp today- your kids or grand-kids will be grateful for the inheritance.....

All LE has to do is have their undercover people lurk here.  I'm certain they do that already.

It seems to me that using the TER staff to go after a provider would reverse LE's usual modus.  They'd be more likely to use providers to inform on the staff.

The problem is NOT with LE, at least in most jurisdictions*. You can figure out the rest. If you study the political history of the planet, it's universally about the Franklins.

* yes, a couple notable exceptions come to mind. But in most urban areas, do you think a police officer is going to bust a place which lets him sample the talent for free, or where the entire PD gets a piece of the gate?

They respond to pressure from the people who sign their pay checks.  In that sense, I agree with you, it is about the Franklins.  But I do not agree with you that prostitution thrives in situations where there are members of LE corrupt enough to take handouts, there are too many people in LE who would sniff out such corruption and work to bring it down, for their own varied reasons.  Prostitution thrives in cases where politicians and the local citenzenry do not view it as a pressing problem, or where there is an absence of powerful pressure groups which view themselves and their activities as moral.

I realize TER has to be based in some jurisdiction, but why would they have an interest in providers in any other area?

It's not like TER has talent police can sample anyway.
