It's All About The Money

One evening last week, my SO and I were getting into bed.  Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says, "I don't feel like it; Ijust want you to hold me."

I said, "WHAT???!!!  What was that?!"

So she says the words that every guy on the planet dreads to hear. . .  "You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man."  She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?"

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night I went to sleep.

The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her.  We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits.  She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'll just buy them all.
She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said let's get a pair for each outfit.
We went to the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of  diamond earrings.  Let me tell you, she was so excited.  She must have  thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck.
I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis.  I think I  threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey."
She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement.
Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear, lets go to the cashier."
I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it."
Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled  "WHAT??!!!"
I then said, "Really honey!  I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while.  You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman."
And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?"
Apparently I won't be having sex with her again until sometime after pigs flyover a frozen hell while monkeys fly out her butt.

Cha-cha-ching!

Better get yourself a steel Jock Strapp to protect your Assets. Few men would have the balls to try that and even less would have them if they did.

I actually had to beg for it at one time, then I broke up with him -- good choice. I also bought him nice things and never insisted he helped me clean the house although we both worked. So, as you can see, the shoe can be on the other foot too (so to speak). Thank gosh I've grown up. Wink!

OMG...I couldn't stop laughing. I think turnabout it fair play. I have never been too compassionate about women that withhold sex from the man they are supposed to love. I think it's abusive. I understand that for some, it's hard to connect physically with their man when they don't feel emotionally close to him, but their are plenty of ways to fix that from her side. It's called, communication. Men are not mind readers and they don't think like women. It's best that women accept that.
There is nothing a man can do or say to make a woman happy if she doesn't feel like being happy. There is nothing he can do to make her feel close to him if she chooses not to feel close to him.
It seems many women are just unrealistic about what their men can offer them emotionally. If she really wants to be close, then she needs to act as if she is close to him. Then he responds to her and feels close back. Men are dependent on women for their emotional health and emotional guidance. Women are not dependent on men for theirs. That's why we have girlfriends! Just my opinion.

Octavia, bless you for understanding that and stating it.  Some women think they shouldn't have to tell their man what they want - he should just "know", without having to be told.  To have to tell him, they think, is unromantic.  This viewpoint is very unrealistic, and leads to huge relationship problems.

Women need to learn to ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT.

I've particularly come in contact with "there is nothing a man can do or say to make a woman happy if she doesn't feel like being happy"   That one hits hard  me cause I turn into an emotional problem solver if someone confides a problem to me when all she needs from me is a good listener and comfort.

Ah, Grasshopper, take these lessons with you on your journey.

it would be nice to not have to tell a man the obvious things: your birthday, Valentine's Day and possibly your anniversary.
