STD Threads ~ Enough Already.

Am I the only one that is burnt out on all the STD related threads? At least one or two every day for the last couple of weeks.
Can we all agree that this hobby is risky in some ways? If you choose to be in the hobby, STD's are part of the deal and something to alway be mindful of. Is bringing them up daily really helpful for anyone? For me, hearing about it constantly is bummin' my stone. It sort of ruins the fantasy to talk about it all the damn time. As someone who always uses safe sex, and has for the last 15 years, I have never gotten anything other than some marginally bad sex now and then.
Anyone that is getting laid by more than one person should practice universal precautions and hope for the best.
I think a moratorium on this subject would be greatly appreciated for say, a week or so. Just my opinion. Anyone with me?
If you can't stand the heat, get out of the fire.

But it's a free speech forum and people will post what they want to talk about without regard to what you or I am interested in.  And that's how it should be.

I agree too, but every provider I've talked to says she has NEVER had an STD at anytime!  That's a lie.  I'd just like someone to come forward and say that they have/had an STD and got it treated.  I'd love to know how many they get in a year.

Thirty five years ago I took up motorcycles and racing them as a avocation/lifestyle. There were risks but the thrill and enjoyment I recieved from them was too much to ignore. Sure I got a couple of battle scars and sore joints along the way and the possibility of something far worse happening is there each time I throw my leg over one. Today I threw my leg over one again after 8 months of being off them. HOTDAMN! It was great. Now the question is can I afford a new bike AND the hobby?
If all you can do is worry about the negative possibilities then drive a Volvo(still a calculated risk) and take up a hobby like stamp collecting.

For me it's Fast bikes & Hot women.

  FR.

You got a problem with Volvo Drivers?  No swedish SPs for you!

Best advice........ do not click on them.

There'll always be someone with a concern and seeking info on them. Some advice is good and some is just plain wrong. There was a time when Staff tried to set up a special STD board that was to be moderated by AIM. AIM didn't like the idea of having to provide factual information in a timely fashion to some of the better informed members of this forum and deleted ALL the posts on that board, IIRC it only lasted about a week.

I find the information needs to come forward as it is a relatively new and still developing story.
...and the latest outbreak now has 4 people that have been infected with HIV.Let's hope that its now under control.

Information/knowledge is power. We all then can either choose to digest it,spit it out or act upon it, the way we see fit...If you feel it does not appply to you...just move on and click on the next thread that interest you.

Cheers to information and wonderful, lustful safe sex!

Posting STD information is more important than posting pop pyschology piffle on father-daughter relationships. My two cents.

But how does that make you FEEL?

...then ignore them. We get new people in here all the time, and the topic, while unpleasant, is as important as anything else. It'll bum out anyone to constantly have to hear about hobbying and STDs, but that's life.
