Hey, I'm new here. I was wondering if anyone could give me a few tips. It's a little odd with the Carolinas lumped together, so I'm having trouble navigating to find reviews on anyone who's actually "local" to me.
such as a major city like New York, etc.
You might try the "other" category which is a catch-all, but that's about it.
Also, you should read the site's Self Help Center and Message Board Policies that you'll find linked on this page. Look for the red and white life preserver.

providers with the same area code will be listed. Now a days with cell phones, this may not be totally accurate. Perhaps you could search on the Carolina board for key words like Raleigh, Charlotte, etc.
I just tried this for NY. The drop downs only allow specific choices:
Country: United States
City: New York
but Location allows free text.
For Location, I can enter the names of specific regions within the city:
Queens
Astoria
Chelsea
and get hits for each.
I can enter cities and towns NEAR New York City and get hits.
The Location field is entered by the reviewer and there is no guarantee that it will turn up all the good choices. (Some reviewers enter "Her Apartment" or "Hotel" rather than a geographic location.) If it's misspelled you'll never hit it!
I don't know the names of the regions near you but scan the Recent Reviews list for commonly used terms that show up in the Location field underneath "Carolinas:" Greenville, Triad, High Point, Myrtle Beach ...
And post to your most local board and ask what others do to narrow their search
where in the Carolinas are you located? Several ladies including me will drive to your area with a muti-hour booking plus a travel fee depending on the distance.

When you look at the first search page, click on the advanced search link. Then under providers contact information fill in the boxes. I just did United States, Carolinas, Greensboro and got 68 or so. Some times you might get the name of a lady instead, Eden for example. Or try and see Stephanie. She ie worth the evening drive to see her, in my opinion.
