Thank you to everyone for your replies.  I do appreciate you

I recently had a cane used on me for the first time.  Big difference from a flogger.  Certainly got my attention.  My partner only used the cane on my ass.  We are not sure if it is safe to use a cane on my breasts.  Skin is more fragile.  Also don't want to end up with ugly scars.  Any input would be appreciated.  Where else can you go but this board to put forth these kind of questions.  Gotta love TER.

It also depends on the skill of your partner.  I have had a cane used on my breasts several times...by someone I trust.  A light weight cane is more stingy, and can leave some welts, but as long as it doesn't break the skin, the welts will fade rather quickly.

A heavier cane is not as likely to leave bright red welts, but can bruise if used too hard, and if you have implants, there could be a danger of breaking them.

As a submissive provider with MANY GFE clients, I put forth at the beginning that I do not want to be marked up.  I can take a pretty good flogging and spanking, but canes, I usually reserve for someone I know will be able to gauge just the right amount of impact to avoid marking me for days.  It used to be one of my favorites before my appearance was such an issue.

I agree completely that it depends on the cane and the skill of the dom.  I was never really comfortable using a cane any where except on backside and back of thighs and I was always very vey careful with this.  I am really not into causing a lot of pain (and I have disappointed a number of pure heavy pain puppies) and absolutely no damage.  One can do a lot of damage to breast tissue and to the chest with a cane.
If it is to be used because the sub loves it, the strokes have to be carefully aimed  not to harm, but just to sting.

I agree that the thought of whipping breasts can be a big turn on.  But I have backed away from that idea.  Maybe some gentle symbolic swats but nothing severe.  The general safe approach is to keep real impact play on the upper back, butt and front and rear upper thighs.  Anything else runs risks.  And those areas get the best reaction in terms of endorphin rush.  The problem with a cane on breasts isn't a lingering skin abrasions but real damage to the underlying structure of the boob.

Now having said that, I playfully once lightly whipped a girl's feet with a deerskin flogger.  She said, "Keep that up, it feels great."

On the cane (thinner and whippier hits faster, hurts more, can cut) and how it's used.  Like most impact play, start light the first time and review, then progress.

A light, thin cane can be used to tease, tingle or cut and bruise.  There aren't any impact plays that can't be used incorrectly, so be careful and patient.  Learn over multiple sessions, not all at once, and build into it as you both learn what works.

Bad idea.... If you know and really trust the Dom maybe...those breast need to last you a long time...I would never use a cane on breasts except a very light tap, even then not a good idea... and never allow anyone to do Shibari Art ( rope on them)...I have seen the results of years of that with older gals at the BDSM gatherings... keep your fragile skin aka your precious body canvas unmarked, there is plenty of other canvas/skin to work with....
