First time flying solo

Going to a function on weds. Night by myself. Wingman had to cancel. Any advice from either side of the spectrum on how to approach this situation?

This time of year with all the Christmas parties etc... it gets pretty busy for a lot of us women here but it is always possible to have a wingwoman too. There are some that may even fly in on their Angel Wings...
