The best synopsis of this "hobby" from a providers POV.  TER should post it permanently in an archive of some sort.

Back in March 2004, I posted the message in the attached link.  Since then, I've received a number of PMs asking how things worked out with my friend.

Well, she's living in southern New Jersey with a female friend.  She's retired, and now attends culinary school full time at night.  During the day, she takes her friend's kids to and from day care, keeps house and works part time.

She and I are still in regular contact.  I don't think I've ever seen her happier.

That was, in fact, one the most affecting posts that I had read here.  Thank you for following up.  

Providership isn't for every woman, nor for every woman at every point in her adult life.  And the hobby isn't fun or freedom anymore when you can't leave it.

I'm glad she found a bridge.
