No doubt it's my age and the era I grew up in, but I have to confess that I am not a huge proponent of texting - it has it's place and can be handy in some circumstances, but in general it's a poor excuse for a short, to the point email exchange or a quick phone call.  -  That said, I've found that a lot of adults use kik as their preferred texting app.

Seems like people are all the time creating new methods for communication, and I stumbled across this app months ago, never really did much with it.
Pretty neat to have a semi-anonymous text app, with actual picture/vid sending capabilities, versus Google voice, however, no calls.

Guess we can't win them all!

I don't mind using some communication apps, but it seems like there are just too many varients on them these days. If I had every app a guest asked me to dl to chat I wouldn't have an ounce of storage space left ha. KIK seems to be used fairly often anymore but I still haven't made up my mind as to liking it.
