That was an awful outcome...was it an agency? I care about my friends and never could do that

I had a great disappointment today that may serve as a reminder of the importance of these simple things. The provider I had arranged to see has no direct contact by phone, email or text with clients.  Everything is routed to/through some intermediary and computerized booking system.  Attempts at simple communication are like getting bounced back and forth endlessly between tech and sales people in India when you're just trying to find where the "on button" is on your new computer.  Setting up the appointment was easy.  The problems all came after that.  The provider's location was over an hour and a half drive from where I was. (When you're horny, you're horny -- particularly when relief is in sight.)  An hour into my "commute" I heard an alert for an incoming text, so I pulled off the road to read it.  It said that my appointment was cancelled because I hadn't responded to "many requests" that morning to confirm that I was showing up.  That was the only message I had received.  A simple phone call to the number they texted -- or an earlier text -- would have worked fine at any time that morning.  I had explained late the night before (via email exchange with the intermediaries) that I would be on the road from 9:00 am on and would look for a text with final location details when I got to the condo complex. There's no point in naming the provider here (perhaps privately, on request). Just remember folks.  The common courtesy and simple communication that the vast majority of providers and clients rely upon is precious.  It would have been so easy add this old, but fun loving, fellow to her easy-to-please list of regulars.  And I confess that an impulse stop at a "drive through" magic touch establishment did nothing to ease the discomfort of certain body parts on the way home.  All in all a pretty miserable day. Don't let it happen to you!

Am basic member so pm will not work.

I don't know who the provider uses as a service.  It's not an agency or some well-known booking service that has a name.

Not an agency. She's an independent provider.  I'm not sure what her setup involves.  There's some "assistant" (maybe the provider herself) who uses some automated booking site for some of the communication.

KNOWING she will keep the appointment, and no "plan B" is never ever needed, is what stands out to me and is greatly appreciated.  I hope most of us guys reciprocate that as well.

You're absolutely right -- and stated the point I was trying to make a lot more succinctly.  There just needs to be a way to communicate easily when something comes up or info is needed.

so that collectively it will help all and no one has to deal with this again.

I'm not going to do that.  One bad experience does not justify scorching a provider and affecting her livelihood.  Yes, I was angry that her crappy communication left me with aching balls for several hours, but my post was intended only as a reminder to all of us to be courteous and open in our communication.

Common courtesy and a bit of kindness go a long way--on both sides.  Those, in my opinion, trump the ladys' photos, reviews, and numbers.   Hopefully, your post helps to illustrate the importance of such.

I didn't say "rake someone over the coals" or bad mouth them unnecessarily.  Simply state the facts in a honest and respectful way.

Personally I will just take this information and file it away so that anytime I try to set up something with a lady and find out that she uses this type of system I'll just let her know I won't deal with that kind of crap. If that's the only way she will deal then she won't be dealing with me.
