Speed weeks are just around the corner, and drivers, such as the talented and former Winston Cup (it will always be Winston Cup to me... fuck political correctness) Champion Matt Kenseth, are still in need of sponsors. Currently, Kenseth has a primary backer for half of the races in 2010. That says it all about the state of the economy.

I hate the car of tomorrow, and the constant rule changes from moody Mike Helton and his no-fun gang. Hopefully, the latest rules will work.

My favorite races are at the short tracks... in particular Bristol. I have been to several tracks, and plan on hitting the Chicago race this summer.

Just two more weeks till the start of Daytona Week.  It'll be interesting how this "let 'em bang!" decision will play out!  Also, less restrictor plate.  The drivers have been hollering for this.  Time to shut up, strap in...and Drive!

but nobody I know wants to come with me.  I've got a good friend from high school who has a condo in Daytona, but whenever I mention that I'd like to come down there and go the race, her response is that I'm welcome to stay with her, but she wants nothing to do with the 500!

Was there in '04, but the drive from Orlando was hell.  I'd go back in a heartbeat but only if I could stay at the beach.

It maybe the only race I watch all year but I love the anticipation of Daytona coming out of winter. It is similar to the anticipation of spring training in baseball.

May watch more if they take those restrictor plates out at Talladega. Three wide at the turn, that is how I like it!
