Is it my imagination or does this smell of LE? I know I'm not exactly a prolific reviewer but I have been around for a while, besides, I'm not asking for specifics, just opinions.
You have 4 reviews, only 2 or which are for NJ providers. Although, as you say, you've been around for a while, that hardly makes you an expert on NJ by TER standards.
He's asking for "inside info" and to me that may mean information that normally wouldn't show up in a review, like addresses, etc. I personally would not respond to a PM from such a person for mych the same reason you specify. Even without reviews he may be legit, but why take that chance?

Back-channeling must be secure for all concerned. How can this be if you don't know the person at the other end. On the other-hand, if you know the other side from frequent postings and reviews of people you've seen, then you MAY ease up (once you verify id with that provider(s))
