I've asked this question once before but didn't get any answers. I figured it's worth another try.
Just this morning I received an email announcement telling me about certain girls that are going to be in Raleigh, complete with some very provocative pictures. One picture especially caught my eye. It showed the girl with her hands cuffed behind her back. Now, I personally find that to be quite a turn on, but I'm very reluctant to bring up the subject with a girl, for fear of scaring her off, even if we've already met a time or two. I guess my question is: Would the question (How do you feel about being cuffed or blindfolded?) scare most girls off? Would it be crazy to ask the girl in the picture about it before a first date? If so, why is she advertising that "service?" Or is she just trying to get everyone's attention?I'm sure that those who cater to fetishes and the bondage/submission lifestyle would have no problems with it on the first date.
I, on the other hand, would probably want to wait until the second date to let you handcuff, blindfold me, or tie me up. Too many psychos out there...
Personally, I would never use actual 'hand-cuffs' anyhow -- I prefer the wrist/ankle straps -- the ones that go under the entire mattress. Metal handcuffs, even the ones covered in pretty, soft fabric hurt my skinny, bony, T-rex wrists and arms 
I switched from the fuzzy cuffs to the velcro straps that the lady can undo at anytime(its just the thought of being somewhat helpless(LOL), however, I just saw a lil lady who wanted the metal things---go figure!
The blindfold seems to help her concentrate on what is happening to various and sundry parts of her cute lil nekked body;P~~~

she's just running an ad"... Huh? And I don't a lady who has a pic of herself in handcuffs will be taken aback with an email about that particular scenario. She can always decline.

I just see it as an attention thing. I asked a provider who had a photo of herself tied up in
Shibari style on her site, if that was something she did with clients (who knew the art of Shibari of course) and she said "No" that it was just her way of getting attention. So who knows ...

Not again. The first time it didn't go so well. 
I knew it was a stretch to ask, but I thought "what the hell." If you don't ask you won't know.
The first appt w someone there are no gaurentees, if you can't accept that I have no interest in seeing you. If once we meet I'm comfortable w you then yes we can have some fun. Just because someone advertises it doesn't gaurentee anything though, ultimately this is our life and we need to be comfortable. I have been surprised at the number of guys that would not accept that I will not commit to anything without meeting you first.
I also have a variety of cuffs, some are nothing more then Velcro straps that hold your hands together. Gives you the illusion of confinement but you can get free easily. I have under the bed, over the door and others that are more confining. That way there is something to fit all diffrent comfort levels. That way hopefully everyone can be happy
Exactly! Velcro thingys just give the illusion of confinement---can be popped off by the lady at any time. Even I am not comfy with ropes, chains, metal cuffs, etc. I just like the lil lady to pretend that she is a widdle slave girl, who is just gonna have to wiggle and giggle, um, maybe scream, say dirty words, etc. protesting(that is why I like the house playroom vs motel, etc., due to no neighbors close by) her "treatment;P~~~~", and take her licking, etc. like a woman;P~~~

We hobby to bed got gals who won't make us listen to all their issues or crowd our bathrooms with hair products or make me pretend I like her mother. We do this for variety and no strings attached fun. The trust factor between any two people is very variable. You pass screening to make sure your not Uncle Leo or hopefully a serial killer. Who really knows if your a serial killer or not it's probably not on your P411 profile. But given chemistry or just people's gut feelings toward one another some things a gal will let one fella do with or to her she may not let you or me. I do hope you find what you are looking for it doesn't seem like an unreasonable request but I can see a lady being hesitant if she doesn't know you. Good luck bro

I doubt you're looking at a serious long term commitment to get to the point where you can play with restraints. It'll make a big difference if your fantasy requires that she be truly restrained or whether you can pretend and use cuffs/restraints that she can easily free herself from.
I'd be satisfied with the velcro cuffs and a blindfold.
But I think you guys are right. I'll try asking some girls that already know me and trust me. I was just reluctant to bring it up with them for fear that they would think it was too creepy. I'll work on a sensitive approach where if she says no I can say, no problem.

Well, I screwed up my courage and emailed one of my long time regulars (that's how she exclusively communicates) and asked if she was up for some cuffs play. I tried to make the request as non-threatening as I could, with a lot of "only if you want to," and "we could just pretend if you don't like the idea of the real thing."
I don't mind saying that I was afraid that I had scared her off. And then when I didn't hear back from her for more than 24 hours I was more and more certain that she was freaked out.
But then she did reply, and said that it sounded like it would be fun. She wants to take it slowly at first, just cuffs to the bedpost. She hinted that it could get kinkier in the future.
So, I'm very happy about this and excitedly looking forward to our next date. I want to thank all the girls and guys who gave advice. It was good advice, and it worked.
