It's really the politicians who decide what laws on on the books and what to enforce not the boys in blue. They're just "doing their job" in their own minds. Let's face it, if you got paid the same for risking getting shot by catching criminals or having sex with women and then virtually slapping them around without any risk to yourself which would you do?

Besides, it's a lot harder to track down criminals - in fact it may require some brains. Calling up ladies who advertise on the internet doesn't exactly take an iq greater than belt size. It's like shooting fish in a barrel vs actually using the brain and taking a risk as in bowhunting. You wouldn't find honorable men doing the former.

I talked with a provider recently (not necessarily local) who asked to have her reviews removed because she was getting harrassed.  Specifically, she said that some people contacting her were threatening to use her reviews against her legally if she didn't agree to see them!  Now there's a new line for a pickup bar!

Are there some sick people out there or what!

lots of disturbance these days...

Sometimes things go so well we forget that there are risks to everything we do. I'm sorry to hear you had a disturbance and hope you'll consider sharing it here so we can all learn a little.

This is very disturbing to hear. Although, I recall over a year ago that an AMP in Los Angeles asked to have reviews removed for similar reasons. Aparently, customers were entering the place with printed reviews and saying that they had better get the same service or they would give bad reviews. Thay acted as though tey had some great power or something. The mamasan said that she had enough of this and asked to have all reviews associated with the place removed. As far as I know, TER did remove them.
For other than screening purposes, I don't know why a hobbyist would tell a provider he is going to post a review of her. That just opens the door to objections. Why can't these people just read the review, know what to expect, make the appointment, then follow through. Just an idiots opinion.LOL

come on guys - society has it fair share of demented individuals and if anything this little hobby probably attracts a greater percentage of disturbed people. what surprises me - is that this type of behavior isn't more prevalent. way to many people roaming this planet lacking self-confidence!

A  very young provider friend of mine had the same experience recently. A client of hers(who posts on this board) was threatening to tell her apartment manager that she was a provider if she did not agree to have sex with him pro bono. The young lady in question is relatively new to the business and wants to keep it down low. Can you imagine that? More reason why she refused to extend her services to him any longer. She recognised in good time that he is a wacko. Guys don't you have any respect for yourselves? Anyway this is pure fantasy world we all are living in...

WOW!!  bad enough we have bin Ladens running around, now we have severly dememnted individuals trying to extort providers.  there is a fine line between reality and fantasy, seems some guys cross it.

......what makes someone think they'll have a good time with a provider who is forced to see them.  How do you spell........

I'm trying to figure out
what is so interesting about all this to LE? What is so important that they have to spend the time and the money to irradicate the Hobby? I would think that there are plenty of other things far more important and that impact public safety much more (like terrorism, drug trafficking, gang banging, etc etc.) than going to all the trouble they're going to these days! Can somebody explain this to me?? Seriously..
Two people agreeing to spend time on a date in the privacy of whatever location, not hurting anyone, discretely minding their own business, and actually doing some good even is just too terrible for LE???
I can understand getting streetwalkers off the street - the obvious eyesore, the disruption, the whole picture that goes along with it. I can even somewhat understand not wanting the Girlie Clubs in some neighborhoods, and people having a complaint with that.
But the bogus busts, the entrapment, the Task Force and all the other crap is just that - BS! It's wrong and it needs to be fought, and changed.
And I just don't understand why the interest? Why all the trouble? Will someone 'splain it to me, Lucy?!!

I think it's too facile an explanation that all this LE activity is simply due to politicians. Although politicians must bear their share of the blame, it doesn't explain LE having sex as part of their "investigations", fabricating busts and perjuring themselves.

I think, Sedona, that the answer is simpler. All of the more worthy criminal activities that you cite would be hard work for LE to pursue, and put them in harm's way. On the other hand, what could be more fun than dominating beautiful women such as yourself. Possibly they can squeeze you for information, money and/or sex. And, it's virtually cost free and no risk. Unfortunately, many go into law enforcement to bully other people, and there is a small number of real criminals operating under "color of authority."

Where does the LE angle come in on this?  My guess is the provider in question may have been so restrictive in who she agreed to meet, or so hard to reach, that some desperate souls became overly frustrated and acted way out of line.

This is very possible. I once had a provider go ballistic on me for simply asking for rates. She blew up like an A-bomb! I never asked about services or anything like that. Over the period of about 6 months, I called her about 4 times. Everytime, she blew me off for no apparent reason. I called once, she asked where and when I had seen her ad, I told her it was about a week ago in a local publication. She told me that I should have called her a week ago than hung up. Odd. I think that this one may have been a nut job. Either way though, that's no reason to threaten a provider in any way.
