TER General Board

Some are abusing the intention of TER, though, . . . .

by using their alias to slam providers and personally attack other members.  This I cowardly and not very manly.  I have no problem conversing with alias' on subject matter posts.  When they are used to launch personal attacks against others, its kind of scummy to me.

I am not new to the hobby, however I am new to this board.  I would greatly appreciate not being attacked for my question.  But the guys on here that have no reviews, is this just because they want to say whatever they say and not be identified?  I know, stupid question, but would appreciate some straight answers.  In other words, do guys create accounts on here so they can communicate without being tied to their "real" ID?

and then there are guys like myself who have been here a LONG time under the same handle who have never written a review.

I do take exception to your statement that I do this so I "can't be identified" I am one of the easiest posters on this board to be identified and I still stay whatever I want.

YES your premise is basically correct in most cases.

One, I see some reviews as bragging.  I don't care what was shot where, and I don't need the critique of the review if it's too limited, too detailed, too whatever.  I appreciate greatly the information given here, and I pay for it, but I don't need the self affirmation that goes along with writing some of reviews.

Second, I feel that I could only write positive reviews, not negative ones.  I have met many ladies that are deserving of a great reviews, and I would like to write one.  However, writing a negative review would be tough.  This is a YMMV business.  Maybe she was off that day, I was tired, or we didn't connect.   I don't need the negative implications of a lady scorned.  Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Third, if the details in a review were ever made public, either by a hack or some other reason, it is tough to deny a meeting if you self incriminate.  Can't be used against you in a court of law.  In the court of public opinion, or in an employers view, it's a bit different.

Yep, unless it was a blatant rip off, I'm only writing positive. However, if I wasn't feeling it, so to speak, I'll just not write one instead of writing a negative.

I sincerely appreciate the feedback.
