A provider recommended it to me. Seems to work well, though I use email a lot more than text or voice for playtime adventures.
Just don't keep the app on your screen if you don't want questions. Set up a generic voicemail message so it doesn't go into my real VM.

Is anybody using this instead of a burner phone?  Good or bad?

Thanks!

I nave used Hush for several years.

After a year or so, i finally got comfortable with the safety of using it and now, i am completely confident that it is secure. I password protected it and hid it deep in a folder so that no one would ever find it.

I use it for phone and text.

How difficult is it to "keep it deep" hidden in a folder?  I would like to learn this.....

probably want the most secure arrangement I could get, but I'm single, so I've had the same burner phone number for eight years.  I would venture to say over 300 providers have the number, but no one has abused that privilege yet by making a nuisance of themselves.  If they did, I would just change the number.

A lot of glitches...i dont love it but i dont want to lose the phone # so i keep it.

It is a good app but there are a few issues:
1) I love that it has a separate contacts section but when you use call forwarding the contact name doesn't show up on your phone so you're always picking up the phone blind.

2) If you want to save more details/coordinate with calendars you cannot

3) It sometimes glitches making you miss calls or calls are hard to hear

4) I was getting tired of dealing with having to figure out whether the person calling was calling me in my personal life or calling to set up an appointment.

After dealing with this for a year I finally just got an extra cell phone. I suppose for a hobbyist it's a little different and some of the issues matter less but the glitches should definitely give you some pause.

I have had it for 3 years and the calls and texts work perfectly for me. It also has distinct ring tone and text notifications. so  I know when a provider is trying to reach it.  I use it on my regular (private) cell and hide the app in a safe folder such as Travel or Games -- of course my phone is password protected. Also I do not want to keep a burner phone which would require some awkward "splaining" if it is discovered.
