I read a post the other day from an experienced hobbyist who has posted a big number of reviews. He said that when he approaches a provider for the first time, he gives her a name and references but the name is different from his TER name. It got me thinking.
Following that, I visited with a provider who is not listed on TER or P411. I was referred to her by another provider. She told me that when she is contacted by a new hobbyist, she can somehow search under his email address to see if he has written any reviews. It amazed me. So, does anyone know how this works? I thought possibly it was a TER feature for providers, but like I said the lady is not listed on TER at least under her current name.
Thanks, particularly to any of the ladies who can offer any insight into this. If it's true, it somehow makes me feel less discreet in general. Maybe the hobbyist I referred to above really does have a better idea.
...the free limited Provider VIP membership. If she doesn't have it she can't search for you by your e-mail. The e-mail must be the one you have listed in your TER account manager and she wouldn't have that e-mail unless you gave it to her as part of your contact info.
She has to have a provider profile on TER linked to her TER handle in order to have the free limited Provider VIP membership.
If she does not have an obvious Profile that you can find, maybe:
- She has an old Profile under an old name she doesn't use anymore
- She has a Provider friend who looks things up for her
- She has a booker with access to other clients' TER accounts that she can use to screen guys
And maybe a few other possibilities.

She doesnt have to have TER VIP to see who you have reviewed or your board posts
When you do a google search of your hobby email many if not all your reviews and posts will come up
If you have given it to her but she won't be able to read the reviews without TER VIP but she can see who you have reviewed
When I search on my hobby email ID, I don't see ANY of my reviews. I do see some posts, but not because they include my email ID. They show up because the posts have one or more parts of my email ID, including the domain name.
Also, anyone can read the General section of reviews. With full VIP, you can read the rest of the review including the Details.
Not in my case- all my reviews and several board posts show up on Google search when I sewrch my hobby email address
