Leaving the door ajar...

I've visited a few ladies that leave the door slightly ajar before the arrival.  It removes that awkward few moments after knocking on the door waiting to be let in.  I have used it as well waiting on a lady to visit and I think it makes the arrival easier.

Again I know this introduces a little more risk for the lady when used but I know I like the touch.  What's your opinion?

If I'm visiting one person only for a longer date then I don't really care if they knock. But when touring I like to crack the door and when the gent calls upon arrival and let him know to just come in and don't knock. Eliminates unwanted attention from guys knocking on a particular hotel room door all day long and raising suspicion from staff or the guests across the hall from you.

When it doesn't work, can then knock and say "Honey, my key isn't working again."  At that point, anyone nearby would assume it's a normal couple.  Unless, of course, that happens repeatedly on the same door with different guys!

The girl would need to be in on it though, as I can just imagine how it'd seem if you hear someone trying to open your door.

I'm ready when you call me from the parking lot and I am at the door ready to open it when I see you
Please do not knock on my do

Yes.  Because I have had at least 3 clients that have went to the right hotel chain, but in a different part of town, and knocked on the door.  Oopsy for them - luckily no one answered the door :)

Luckily Raleigh is small enough that doesn't happen here

The "mini bar" is much better at my hotel, and I'll start leaving the door unlocked for you.

Was given right room number, but was at door across the hall... Kept knocking louder and louder, until I notice her standing in the door across the hall.. Oops..

Now, I prefer open door. I do not like standing in the hall and tapping on a door. If I say I am in lot and you text room, please do not make me wait in hall.

Then again I hate frond desk staff saying "welcome back

I had a date that asked me to leave the door open and wanted to walk in while I was already pleasuring myself.  I arranged these circumstances...I heard the door close, but no sounds after that.  I stopped to peek and texted where are you to my shock, he was at the wrong hotel.  We laughed about it later, but I may be a little less likely to do it again unless I make some controls.  LOL

Going to the wrong hotel happened to me.  Both hotels next to one another had the same initial name.  One had a room 217 and then other did not.

With the latch holding it open it blatantly advertizes that someone without a key is coming. If housekeeping sees that a few times though the day they know there is traffic.
I try to watch the peephole and open the door as the person walks up, it is the least obvious IMO and doesn't subject you guys to that awkward time waiting in the hall.

Not to long ago I stayed where there was 2 hotels w a very similar name rite near each other. Got the call for the room number and I'm standing at the door waiting and waiting, eventually I get a txt, he had went to the wrong hotel and there was a 200lb black lady in "my room"

Now I wonder being a lot of civvys will prop the door open for friends if a client has ever walked into the wrong room

I use the do not disturb sign to block the latch. The door looks like it's closed form the outside but it will open with a little push. Looks like a key was used to open it.
I'll be in NC next week. Want me to show you? :-).

I learned that trick from a very smart Lady, only she said use the extra key card.  That way, if someone see's you, it looks like you drooped your card when the door is pushed open.

Like ever. Most of the time the door will stay just barely cracked on its own with just the lever resting against the door lock. Maybe 1 time out of 15 do I ever have to use the latch. Which is great because the few times I've used it, the guy comes in and then lets the door slam, not realizing its going to slam against the latch and then that REALLY draws attention!

I have seen doors open with the latch in hallways
I think it is dangerous, because anyone can walk in
I have never let a gent stand in a hallway, no awkward moments no slammed doors

I think you have too much time on your hands.  I leave the door ajar when a reliable provider is visiting.

Isn't IMHO a good idea.  You know the client is on the way up, stand there for a couple of minutes & be ready to open the door.  I hate knocking, too many eyes, too much attention.

I did at one time get a room to meet a friend, and did have the door ajar.  Who walks in, but the cleaning lady.  Luckily I was still dressed.

You could have at least given her a little peep show!  hehe JK!!!

It just seems more natural and inviting to me.

I always leave it ajar when a lady is coming to see me.
Why not?  I have never had an instance when someone I wasn't expecting came into my room uninvited, period.   Never ever.

So when a lady I have seen many times arrived at my room, and while I was not near the door..., and she actually arrived a bit early; she came in announcing "security check!"    That took me a bit aback for an instant;  and then we both had a good laugh about it.  I like a gal with a sense of humor.

Risk wise, I think it's negligible.    Just don't forget to close and lock it after she arrives

....while saying HELLO so loud the whole floor can hear him that could be the problem (again an exceptionally rare occurrence). I'm excellent at timing how long it will take him to get up me. When we confirm he's on the way up then I put it ajar. If anything door ajar done right makes it look like he belongs there. I leave my door ajar once in a while if I have to do laundry or get ice etc at a hotel so...leaving it ajar for a minute or 2 for a guests hardly looks weird.

I knocked on the wrong door at a hotel once and this beautiful amazon like bbw woman opened it and said, are you at the right room? Of course I said and she let me in. Clearly she was expecting someone but it wasn't actually me. She looked slightly like the photos in the ad but actually better. She said I've been wanting to meet you since we both work at (blah-blah) company. Yeah me too I said playing along thinking either she is thinking I'm a co-worker or she is a great actress setting up the scene. I got closer and gave her a hug and she came back with a DFK and from then we started stripping off clothes. After and hour or so of making out, hot sex and pillow talk, I said I better go thinking my time was up. She says, you're welcome to stay and keep me warm tonight, which at that point I knew she wasn't acting and really thought I was a co-worker from another office. I feel asleep and left early the next morning leaving her my cell number as she blissfully slept. Never heard from her again but damn was it fun.

And how did you explain that to the provider you thought you were seeing

It amazes me this whole story
Did he use a condom

My favorite way of getting past the awkward wait after knocking on the door -- just in case a housekeeper or someone is watching/listening.
