Ive spent a lot of time in san diego and las vegas which are great fun. Ive also been in palm springs and ft meyer where there are no ladies. Wouldn't it make sense to find a better place?
There are two classes of people in PS and FM: The younger people of mostly modest means that do the jobs to run the city and take care of the retired people; and the much better off AND much older retired people where the wealth is concentrated. However, many retirees are frail or in poor health and would not survive rigorous sexual activity, so you see a lot of rub and tug ads, but there's not much of a market for full service providers. When there's no business, a city will be skipped by touring pros.
I know a lot of guys in PS from golf tournaments. They call me "the kid" and I'll be 60 in a few years! Most have little interest in FS, but will go to AMP's and strip clubs where they can finish without healthy wood.

Yes I do not outwardly know anyone else that sees escorts. I never went to vegas and only a couple of bachelor parties.
There are reasons I wasn't getting laid before I started seeing escorts - and it's none of the reasons you mentioned.

The older you get, you can say anything you want to anyone, and if you offend anyone, they can go fuck themselves. If you have no game with civvie girls and the ONLY way you can get laid is to pay someone, then you wouldn't understand anyway.
