TER General Board

I'll agree with you

While I like the new look and feel of the site in general, the prior version made reading the boards much easier.  Think it's just a matter of time to adjust to this format.

What do you think about the new TER?  I like it.  What about you?

I like being able to read post text without needing to click on a specific post, and I like not having to re-enter all profile data when reviewing a provider with an existing profile. But I don't like how spread out the discussion forums are--lots of scrolling needed to skim through a board.  I haven't found a way on an iPad to reduce the font size.  Also I prefer the menu navigation of the current system--but maybe that's because I'm more familiar with it.

Omg agree!

Ipads are not mobile devices!  I mean, they are, but things don't need to be enlarged and simplified in the same way.

I've only viewed/played extensively on mobile so far because I'm rarely on my desktop at home.

I think the interface is very nice, the previous (mobile experience especially) was a bit antiquated. The colors are nicer, the site is structured better and easier to read. I also like how the discussion board threads do not require you to click on each response. The new mobile set up seems genuinely optimized for mobile devices.

The feedback button is a bit in the way though, but I imagine as they roll out this new UX they are pushing for a lot of feedback to resolve bugs or make small changes.

...like. The spacing and larger font makes it easier to read for me. I don't know how it is on a smart phone though. I use my desktop or my Kindle. I've linked one thing TER said they would fix before they launch.

I have zero clue what you all are speaking about. Everything looks the exact same to me.

Maybe I didn't get invited to the party? Maybe I don't know how to "turn on" the new TER? lol.

Lol! I just realized how to see it today on mobile. I'll try on desktop when I'm home. I clicked on the banner/image that said "we are excited about the new TER" or whatever.

A little voice told me not to click on the New Ter, I did anyways.

So I skipped around a bit and I do not like the new way the boards are shown. The font is too big and I am not at that time in my life yet where I need it that big lol.

So I go back and try clicking to the old TER. Yeah, now I am stuck with it.

Finally found a link at the bottom of the screen that allows you to return to the old TER. Just in case anyone is like me and likes the old one.

I like popping on and scrolling down the thread to see if anything interesting is there I want to click on. I don't just want to see the newest posts. I can see how some would like that. Sometimes I don't come on for a few days and the thread topic would be lost in the shuffle with the new Ter.

There are some upgrades I really do like, but trying to read dozens of posts in very large font even on a decent sized desktop screen is tough. I can't imagine being able to follow threads on my I Pad or Laptop, much less a smart phone.

some upgrades that are good.
Thought I've not checked out the new site in its entirety I've not yet found anything that is an improvement, most is the opposite.

what is it that you find that you like?

Not to sound dumb, but when does the new site switch from the beta version to being the regular site? Does anyone know an official date? Or tentative date? Thanks.

of the stars, so probably when Pluto is in Uranus.

Before going fully live. They are working out the bugs.

I see the same thing I've been seeing since I started on ter... Main page has the ms ter & if u scroll down it's ms ter 2015 edition which they should change to 2016 ms TER's since it's 2017...

Oh wait when I go via my phone I can see it .... It's nice!!!   But they still need to update the yearly ms TER's

I asked admin about that. They said they're working on it.

...but it is growing on me a bit.

I wish that the forum tree structure was a little more pronounced. Alot of it seems to blend together since each post is physically very close to the ones above and beneath it with not much indention.

It gets so cluttered when you do so that it's hard to really figure out which post is in response to which other post.

Thank you. Once you open a post, tree mode is meaningless. They have the little lines and arrows on the left side, but it's still hard to follow. I can see with a train wreck thread ending up going back and forth to the board page just to figure out who's responding to what.

Cluttered.

Photo board looks great though!

The colors are all too light, so you can't easily tell in a split second where a message starts and ends.

Also, there need to be different font sizes for each component of a message.

Right now, everything is the same font size, and paired with a light background, makes it hard to read.

I've gotten used to Reddit's message board structure, and i think it's easy to read, even though it kind of looks like shit.

...for Discussion boards visits and the new version for submitting reviews, searches, and reading PM's.

for many years while "classic TER" was still available (and used to the very end by the likes of mrfisher, GaGambler, BigPapasan, and MatureGFE, among others) my guess is that when the new beta version goes live, it will be the new "new TER" and the current version will become "classic TER" and will be available side by side for a while, and possibly a long while. Again this is just a guess (based on past history), not any type of official TER statement.

Is it possible that's only on desktop? I feel like the font in the boards is the same, maybe even smaller than with the old version, on a device anyway.

I've got lots of wasted white space in the threads.

Agree with the people saying that once you click on a post, it's difficult to see where one post ends and the next begins, especially if someone hit quote, and difficult to see who replied to who. Maybe this is just me never liking change.

field was in one color or maybe bolded and response was in a different color. Ex. Blow Job  BBBJ. Obviously here I can not either bold "blow job" or change the color of the font.

Overall, I lke the layout of the site, but the discussion forums suck!  It's very difficult to follow the discussions in the longer threads, since I'm having problems trying to differentiate who is responding to who.  The indented lines and arrows are not easy to follow, since they are so thin and light in color.

One thing I was hoping they would add is a "PREVIEW" button, so we could double check our post for typos, see whether our links work, etc. before we hit the post button.

Would be very useful for those of us who sometimes post (a) late at night or (b) before the second cup of coffee.

And maybe (c) when distracted by some of the ladies' posts and profiles!

I don't like it,  not much contrast
