If we accept the definition of addiction as "a state characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli despite adverse consequences", then I'm not addicted to this so-called hobby.  It takes spare time and money, but at this stage of my life I have plenty of both and my investments in time and money don't infringe on my responsibilities to family, work, friends etc.

If you view your time spent reading reviews etc. as a waste, that should tell you that although you may or may not be addicted, you are spending too much time on those activities and neglecting other activities, and people.

I have been on TER for two months.
I read all the reviews and view all the web sites voraciously for a solid month.
