I am planning my retirement from the business. How much notice should I give my clients so that they can say their final goodbyes and get in their last appointments? I really don't want to disconnect my phone but if I don't change my number, I will still get calls.

Can someone give me tips on a graceful retirement and how to handle the transition?

I would suppose that your real clients would see this and email or call you in private, rather than writing crass responses on this board, like some below.

So if you can brace yourself against the ones answering onboard with attitude, then go for it so  your real clients know what's up.

Personally, I plan to quietly slip away.

Wishing you the best and hope you are going towards a happiness.  :-)

I don't think you will have to worry about gracefully retiring "Retire My Ass", because I suspect that you should have never got started in the business except as a street walker.  LOL to you too.

Well If I know you please let me be your final client.....

So it can be a memorible experience for both of us.
