I'm not sure if discussion of HX is allowed here, so please just delete or let me know if so.
I've been on HX for a number of years. I don't hobby very often, but I have only received positive ratings from the providers I have seen there (maybe a half dozen).
The other day I logged in and tried to message a girl, only to discover I had been downvoted so I could no longer send messages.
One member (HawaiianPunch) had downvoted me as unsafe, unreliable, etc. I'd never heard of this person, or met this person. Nor have I ever engaged non-providers on or off the board. Since I am not allowed now to send messages, I couldn't even message this person to ask what was going on (I can only assume mistaken identity).
I messaged support, asking what happened. They replied simply that they couldn't change the network. When I went to follow up to ask what I could do to resolve the issue, a message, in all red at the top of the support/alerts page, read "Nice try little piece of shit." I was told any additional follow up questions would be deleted.
I have heard disparaging things about HX over the years, but have never had any sort of issue until now. I fly under the radar. But, curious if anyone knows if this sort of thing is common? HX has been a great way to communicate with providers, so I'd rather not lose it.
Humaniplex = HX... a hobbying ad board.
If you don't hobby that often, I'd say good riddance to bad rubbish & move on.
I don't know how it is where you're at, but where I am it's assumed HX is bottom of the barrel- for when you want providers who are very overtly not d or d free.
From ladies in the know, I've heard it's been going down in the past few years, so maybe you are expecting a different scene- but from what I've witnessed from others, HX is a stain that you might not want anyways.

No, this is seriously it. One member - not even a provider, brought me from a Level 0 to a -3.
In spite of having at least four providers giving me upvotes, the 0 level remained (I'm not sure what it takes to even get to a 1).
But, apparently, just a single person can downvote you and bring you down 3 points. And yes, totally fucked.
And "support" is unhelpful and not providing any info... that the "Nice try little piece of shit" was posted at the top of my support section was also very odd - after I pressed support about this detail, they didn't respond but that message was deleted.
This is why I'm thinking it must be a case of mistaken identity. Just so very weird.
I would never be a member of any club that would have me as a member.
Besides, why join such a group when their name sounds like an HMO?
I thought it sounded like one of those places where they freeze you when you die. But an HMO is probably more likely. Lol

The site is run by a bunch of thugs who pressure advertising providers to give them freebies in exchange for "letting" them advertise on the site. They manipulate members by taking your money and then putting you in "quarantine" until some nameless big shot approves you for membership. The girls pay for their ads, and then they charge the hobbyists to see the photos. I have been boycotting them for years, and whenever I talk to providers or other hobbyists I tell them to do the same. They're all scumbags there. The kinds of members they recruit are the ones that pressure girls to go bareback and if the girl refuses, they band together and use the downvoting system you describe to get them off the site so they can't advertise there anymore. If you're downvoted and kicked off, I believe they still keep your money. If you're a provider, your ad comes down and you don't get a refund. Unfortunately, in OC, Hx is bigger than CV for provider ads. In LA, they're irrelevant, thank god. Its as crooked as anything can get. The racketeering enterprises of the mafia has nothing on HX.
Not the best site. There are better ones out there, just move on.

You could take a shit in a styrofoam cooler, like the one meds come in and mail it to them. Preferably when it's above 90°.
but I've was grandfathered in when the predecessor site merged with HX and I periodically buy "points" so I'm helping pay for the site.
Perhaps you cannot send messages because you have not paid to keep your PM privileges current.

No, I do pay for/use points so I can send messages. I also can't post messages on blogs/message boards - same message pops up when I try:
"The Community has determined you are a safety risk and restricted you from blogging by giving you enough negative ratings to put your Safety Level below 0 or Overall Level below -1."
It said something that showed you have some integrity and were not going to join the thuggery in extorting providers, so you are of no use to them. It's interesting they hide behind the collective of the "community" when it's really just a couple of dogs that run the site who are pulling the strings. They inadvertently may have done you a service by saving your reputation.
I can only think that I posted something on a blog/message board there ages prior that somehow offended the guy (but I barely post, and avoid any drama or conflict there); or just a case of mistaken identity.
That said, comparing the dialogue here vs. the dialogue on HX... there is a big difference in civility and usefulness! I hadn't engaged here much prior, but this crowd is certainly awesome (I was fearing more people would judge me and assume I had done something that deserved this).
PM'd you, but I do use points to send mail. But this also extends to commenting on blogs:
