Moonlight Madness, or Pagan Celebration with Sex?

Saturday morning is a lunar eclipse, which in olden time was celebrated sexually (totally making this up, but I like this version of history better) in order to ensure the moon would recover and shine on again.  From the news article:
"What we are seeing is essentially all sunrises and sunsets simultaneously projected onto the surface of the moon."

Starts at 6:15am and runs about 40 minutes on 4 April.

Next one visible from our area is 27 Sept (a Sunday night) at 9pm and will last over three hours with one full hour of the moon in our shadow.  That sounds like a great opportunity for candlelight dinner, and sex in an outdoor venue.
