END OF MESSAGE

I am wondering what the gentlemen think of the new Lux verification app that TER is endorsing.
Are you going to use?

Ladies...is any other ladies using this already or do you plan to use it?

I look forward to seeing others thought on this...

I sent an email requesting more info on how they screen users who join and how to verify who is "ok-ing" the users... It seems like a half baked screening method to me. I'll stick to references and P411, thanks. At least until this is more upfront and verifiable...

I never got a response from the email admin nor the TER staff I messaged.

I for one would avoid at all costs. It's not worth the risk. Wait till it's more established and has worked out the "verifiability" kinks... or till it disappears. Whichever comes first.

"Thank you for your feedback Goldie.  . We welcome you to read more in our FAQs luxverify.com/faq. Please let us know should you have anymore questions. You can rate and comment on other members and check on their verification status in a completely secure and unique mobile app. We hope you give us a try and see if we can work together to provide a safer community."

Didn't answer any of my questions and neither does the FAQ.
WTF

Based on screenshots it will "verify" the following criteria:
     Age
     Height
     Weight
     Ethnicity
     Location
     Member join date
It also has a spot where others can provide you a star rating; criteria unknown.  And there's a tab for open comments from others.

As Katie noted, it's not very clear how Lux verifies your original information.  My guess is they'll pull DMV records.

From my side the app would provide nothing of value.  It would require carrying a smartphone or a laptop with an aircard in order to verify someone else, but research should have already taken care of that.  Star rating is somewhat equivalent to Okays.

From the other side, all the data Lux is verifying is what I've already included in my P411 profile (put the missing bits in the comments section) so I don't see how it'd help someone I'm meeting.  They'd already see the Okays, and can contact others for a reference if they wish.  The comments might be the one useful addition; perhaps P411 would consider that as an "opt in feature" for the guys and ladies could consider screening out anyone who refuses commenting.  I've never feared an honest appraisal; and BSC is a risk no matter what you do or where you are.

No mention on how comments are handled in Lux, as in do they drop off eventually, are they tied back to the commentor's rep & membership, can one person create multiple identities and bombard a member.

Priced at $150 a year it's more than an annual P411 membership.

But then as I was following the links I saw that it's a completely different thing and it holds no attraction for me. Especially since it costs to use it.

A hooker app on my phone sharing who knows what(?) phone data/call info and my gps location plus data with who knows who?

Hell no.

The married guys will have fun explaining having that app on their phone to their wives.

This app doesn't do any real screening or verification so in my opinion it is worthless - along with all the other "verification" websites..

I am waiting for it to pick up popularity.  I have been trying to find more information on who is using so far as well and how they conduct their screening.  I want to start promoting it to my friends yet I need to do my due diligence on how reliable the screening is.   I hope it does pick up soon- it's simplicity and quick verification format is exactly what I have been looking for.  I have the app downloaded on all my devices, but no one who I want to screen has heard of it yet- heck they only have 21 Twitter followers for crying out load!  I have received several emails so as soon as more providers jump on board the word will get out. Something I will keep my eye on.  My prediction is it will be a very popular tool in the near future.
