It's why I always preferred amateur candids and selfies.

It's a lot more likely that the person behind the door will look like the pictures, or even better than the pictures.

When going over photo accuracy for reviews, do you take into account excessive airbrushing of photos, or just go by "the photos were recent." I was looking at unrelated nature photos with a friend who is proficient in photoshop and she was pointing out spots that were re-worked. That stayed with me, and with my own interest in photography I now kind of look for what might be over-the-top work.

I see an ad for a pro Domme who also has a twitter account. When she posts selfies, her cheeks (face lol) are a lot fuller than the photos on her website. For anyone paying the slightest attention, it's very noticeable. Obviously she feels her cheeks are too full and wants the glam pics re-done, to the point where it changes her face shape. For photo accuracy, it's her in the pics but it's a different her, almost like using an old photo.

Do you notice? Do you just brush it off? (no pun intended)

I'd rather leave excessive airbrushing to the Kardashians and Playboy magazine, and see more of the provider I am going to meet in person.

I film and display, on my website, 18+ amateur videos of myself, because...what you see, is what you get! ;)

And quite hot ones.  They are very helpful.  Your previous ones were even hotter.

that section represents just a small part of the overall review?  True, a provider's representation of herself is important and has a lot to do with our choice either to book or not book a session with her.  But doesn't the narrative section provide more than adequate space to elaborate?

In my own experience I have learned a lot about photos and how they do/don't accurately portray a provider's appearance, even without photo shopping.  Many times I have seen photos of a provider and then after visiting her, have found her much more attractive than her photos revealed.  One provider in Las Vegas, in particular, I felt was average looking at best but visited her because she had good reviews and a killer bod.  Then when I had my session with her, was truly surprised at just how attractive she was and how her photos failed to do her justice.  Of course I mentioned this in the review I wrote on our session.

Of course appearance can be subjective.  But I was particularly surprised that it was the TER review process which brought this phenomena to my attention.

Let's face it, professional pics makes her look more legit. It shows she invested time, money and effort.

That's why I post three types of pics
Professional
Unedited
Selfies

So you can appreciate me in three different way

There are some pics where the provider is gang you a glamour shot, very glossy, totally unblemished skin...something like what you might see on magazine ad for perfume or a billboard with a scantily clad model holding up a can of motor oil and grinning like she's about to laugh. Those pics I take for what they are. Yes, they get my attention. Cute what's she doing, but obviously she isn't going to look that way. It's an attention-getter, it works. Fine, she gets my attention.

So if that's not the only photo of her, if there are pics that give a more realistic idea of not only what she looks like but a little hint as to her personality--bubbly or seductive or playful or whatever--that's okay. Even some of their might be airbrushed a little, but there the element of deception can come into play.

The best pics I've seen, of women I've then met, are those that don't have a lot of doctoring done to them. Rather where the concentration on getting an effective gallery spread for her site was created at the shoot.

Reviews are accurate usually as to whether or not the pics are a fair representation.

Some pro shots, some candid shots. Seems to working out really good this way for me :)

well, i've only been doing this for 4 yrs so i guess not much of experience (still consider myself a newbie).

Most of the indie provider that i've met so far have very accurate photo with minimum touch up.  As for agency (the one that I visitied, which very little) they're doing their best not to alter too much.  So to answer your question, I'm happy so far what provider's picture represent themselves in person.

It doesn't bother me if they are airbrushed.  I just like to see current photos.  There are a few providers that I would really like to see but their pics are literally years old so I am very hesitant to book an appointment.  The local ad boards and photo only board here on TER are great for finding providers with recent pics.  For me, these boards play a big part in my decision making process.  Just one guys opinion......

You're not going to get that exact face in person with me either, as I definitely don't want that online.. I make my nose a different shape in sideways views, sometimes change the face around enough to disguise then partial blur. But I do know not one has been disappointed since I started doing that. In fact, pleasantly surprised it seems. As far as a face, I feel the simple knowledge that it is pretty is enough - though I do blur/partial blur, so maybe I don't count. lol

Some people do get cheek and other fillers, likely after professional photos. That's also something to think about.

weight, shape, and all of that stuff. If you hold a phone at different angles and take a selfie, notice different parts of the face are accentuated. I am terrible at taking pictures, and always make someone's hip really wide on one side, or stretch their face/nose.

In selfies, if one part is closer to the lens than other parts of the face, the photo will automatically enlarge that area. Selfies are great, but they're a little tricky - I can take three face pictures of the same angle in the same ten seconds, and have three completely different looks - just by turning the camera a little.

When a photographer with a professional lens takes the picture, it looks completely different. The lens makes a huge difference in face shape.

Hate to burst your bubble, but you can't go by that.

Be grateful that she gives a variety of photos that depict her with different lenses and angles, and even selfies, to give you a general idea of her look, and what you're going to get.
