END OF MESSAGE

Well Frank, here you are again.  The last time you raised this subject, I did check it out. and the provider in question removed her offer.  We (the people involved on this board) resolved the issue.  I saw no need to lay it out, since the situation and your question was OBE.  Since this is obviously a subject near and dear to your heart, and you continue to have issues; here is My policy, and one which is (to my view anyway) consistent with other mods and Staff.

On this board, Discounts are allowed for TER members.  Thats it.  No offers for reviews v/v specific services will be permitted to stand (at least in public).  You as the customer will continue to have to evaluate reviews for their voracity and acuracy, just as you do now.  It (in my view) reduces the value of a review for a provider to offer discounts for reviews, (even in private and regardless of their content) since this offer may in fact become public.

The rationale for allowing discounts for TER members, is simple.  It is easy for the provider to check on membership, and since members may communicate requests via PM, it encourages membership by providers.

So there you have it.  No freebies for reviews. Period.  This action may result in a provider being banned.  No discounts which relate specific $s to specific review results.  Discounts for TER members permitted.  The only other questioable area is whethere discounts in general for reviews are allowed, with the result of the review being unspecified.  For the time being, I will allow the latter, but will probably comunicate with the provider in question to insure she is aware of the impact of her actions.

You should understand that this is the DC board policy, and subject to change, since TER policy in this area is subject to modification and tweaking.  As one poster has said, this is a fun board, and given the nature and subject of the posts/reviews, it should remain that way.  We (all of us) should not take ourselves too seriously, or we may end up like other forums.  Take it for what its worth, and remember, you don't see all that goes on.
Thanks for your visit.

The thread in question refers to the same subject you have raised here before, and in NY, and on the national board.  BUT, you also made comments concerning my involvement, and I have laid it out for you here on this board.
