OK so I got a rare opportunity to do some hobbying on my home turf. I book a room near my office and book 2 dates with 2 different (and well established) providers - one in the afternoon at 5pm and one for the following morning at 9am. I figure what the hell - yolo, right?
The night before the first session, Provider #1 emails me to cancel. Not happy about it, but at least she has the decency to let me know. Whether her reason was legit it's impossible to determine, and at that point it didn't matter the reason - she was out. I was really looking forward to our date as it was months in the making. Oh well. I still have 18 hours to rebook someone else, so I scramble and contact a hot little latina that I had chatted with a while back. I email her asking for an outcall and apologize for the short notice, and she emails back a few hours later asking for more info. I send her the info, also reminding her that I'm a girl. Crickets. Time is ticking and I need an answer. I email her again and she apologizes that she has never booked a girl before. I remind her that we had already talked about this and she said she was fine with it. Apparently she has a selective memory. Fuck. Just wasted more time. By now it's too late to book anyone else on super short notice. Instead of a hotel room romp, I wind up at a local stripclub and score big. I'm happy as hell, and I remember that at least I got that next morning session, right?
I email Provider #2 to remind her of our next morning rendezvous. I also send her the room number. Crickets. You gotta be fucking kidding me. I let it be. Next morning I attend to my morning meetings and before heading back to the hotel I shoot another email to Provider #2 to remind her AGAIN. More crickets. I get to hotel room, wait for any sign of life from her, and after waiting for an hour past our appt time, I realize that she's a NCNS. Fuck me. I assume she either chicken out or completely flaked. I check out of a room that I never really used and head back to work. At lunchtime I head to a different stripclub and have a great time. I see a trend here.
So I'm 0 - 2 (technically 0 - 3) in my provider outcall quest. Never gonna do THAT again.

IMHO If I book an appointment in the morning for that same afternoon, I cut way down on the things that could possibly come up that would make her cancel. I still get cancelled on some times, but very rarely booking same day appointments.
If you pre-book with an agency and there is a last-minute cancellation, they will suggest two or three other girls that are willing and able to keep the appointment.
Sorry this happened to you Lopaw. It's happened to me a few times with indies.
I guess my only suggestion is to try P411. That way if they NCNS you there's a little recourse. Plus, in your locale there are lots of alternatives.

Eliminates a lot of potential problems. It's been totally worth it. Not to mention a number of ladies who you won't see on other ads boards have a presence there.
... I suspect it'll be well worth the $499 in the long run.
you will have nothing to worry about. I am more dependable than your NCNS providers and your "sure thing" strip club ladies combined!
Plus, I will pay for everything. Don't you wish you lived in Las Vegas, now?

I do not know why a lady would book an appt with a woman and cancel- so weird to me.
If she does not dig chicks- just say so from the start- no biggie - right- plenty of providers out there who would have been thrilled to book that time with you (me included!!!)
I can't imagine the hold up for a provider to entertain a woman but I guess it's just like some ladies don't see black guys etc- different strokes...
BUT anyway- I was a stripper for a long time and got very comfortable being sexual with and around other women starting at 18.
My 2 cents if you have not already --- ask to talk to them on the phone to confirm the date?
A quick call, if they are on the fence- and they hear your voice - it can either make it or break it for both of you- if you hear hesitation in her voice - just politely cancel and then it also allows her that moment to connect a voice- a person- more than an email will ever do...
How do you currently pick your lust interests?! -- meaning do you just look on their site to see if they acknowledge playing with ladies - or you ask one that looks like your type?

I usually don't have any issues getting dates, but until recently they were all incalls. Based on recent events I think that between stripclub visits I'll stick with incalls. I seem to have better results. I've been doing this for about 2 years and this NCNS was my first one, so I'd say I have been doing OK! I select my ladies thru the methods that you listed, usually starting out looking for my type physically, then investigating their client preferences. If they mention being girl friendly then that is one less email that I have to send out
I'd love to visit you in Tampa if I ever get out that way. And if you ever find yourself in LA holla at me 
...it may be better to make an appointment with providers you've seen before. There's less likelihood they'll flake.
I can think of at least 3 occasions I got NCNSed by gals I've seen before and had to put those hotel bills into my "bad investments' file (tax deductible, INMHO) Though on at least one occasion I was able to salvage the day by dint of a great gal who dropped everything to run out and fill in.
One case involved a gal who it ended up had to check herself into a mental hospital.
I know, I just drive the gals insane
I saw at least 6 times in a relatively short period of time
and it was the only time I got the hotel room. Fool me once...lol
Then one of my other favorites refused me when I called her to come over because of the NCNS. Thought she might be empathetic. No, she was pissed because she didn't wanna be my backup. WTF? I understood her point but we weren't exclusive...

Even if I had vast sums of money, I would still be reluctant to try my luck at a strip club. Men tend to get strung along with false promises and wind up paying hundreds on lousy lap dances. As for incall vs. outcall, I would never arrange for outcall to a hotel; more money down the drain. I'll stick with outcall at my house for providers I know and trust very well.
Only men who don't know how to play the strip club game (which is MOST men) get strung along like that.
I will have to admit that when dating a few strippers over the years I never failed to LOL when seeing all the guys "out front" in the parking lot at closing time waiting for their "dates" to get off shift. The reality of the situation is that the girls were being escorted to their cars "out back" by the bouncers making sure they got to their cars okay. Some of these sucker would still be waiting in their cars at 4AM, still hoping against hope the girls would still show up.lmao
I have to admit, I get all the "thrill of the chase" I need in the Sugar Bowl. Strippers are just too much work for me, but that doesn't mean you can't get laid on a pretty regular basis in strip clubs once you learn how to play the game.
