I think befriending a domme is a great idea. I personally started my bdsm journey about 4 years ago, and have done a lot of research and attended several conferences that have some really good informative workshops. I am a domme myself....if you'd like to get in touch with me I am open to discussion. Over time I built an alter ego that worked for me, and tried different fetishes finding the ones I liked and researched them for more clarity. I also after every session I ask my clients to rate me, and tell me what I could of done better. As far as the workshops google bdsm events, and you'll find a lot of good events all over the world. I have attended fetish con which was amazing and a good networking opportunity. I took the domination 101 workshop which was super helpful she discussed things like for ex. places on the body to avoid whipping or paddling, how to read body language, and how much force to use etc. I also attended the wax play workshop where they had a live demonstration. I attended Master slave conferences as well, and they offer workshops on how to be a good slave or domme when dealing with life for ex. terminal illness, mental illness, if you have kids...however the people who attend Master slave conferences are not doing it for money so I remain discreet....I am not sure how they would feel about the escort aspect. But...none the less it is good info, and very interactive. Plus all events usually have vendors who have a wide array of toys, clothes etc for sale. They also have parties cocktail hours for networking etc Fetish Con is more open due to the fact many of the girls that are attending are models, bdsm stars etc doing it for a living. You might also want to consider an apprenticeship under a domme. Google local dungeons to find a professional domme who knows what she's doing. You may even be able to work at a local dungeon or volunteer to see what it's like. The local dungeon in my area was willing to hire me, but they take half of your donation, so that was hard for me to accept, and they required a certain amount of hours per week which I couldn't commit to because I travel. They offer all the things you need, but the advertising was up to you. However, most request payment of course for the apprenticeships, and if you are not in the same city it would be over skype, which I am not sure how helpful that would be. The most serious Pro Dommes do not offer full service, and many look down on Dommes that do...so I remain discreet, but I started as an escort so I see no problems offering it in my private session. Fet Life is another place you could find a lot of valuable material....just make sure you read the rules, and peep the scene before posting just like you would here because most are lifestyle dommes and subs who don't get paid. Anyways I hope that helps. Feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected] and my website is holyholly3941.domfiles.com
P.S Always look out for clients who say they can teach you.....most times just looking to trade services. Most definitely ask for proof of experience.
It's hard to know where to start. Would be glad to help.

So I had a client ask if I cater to fetishes, specifically bdsm. I was honest and informed him it would be a first. I've only been doing this Dom fetish with him and want to know what makes a Dominatrix who they are. I would love to partake in this more now but don't know where to start . I've always been that sweet, carter to you gfe.
I've invested in bondage kits and different costumes now. How far is to far when it gets down to being the Boss.
Research I've done so far been outdated with what I've been reading on this board. .

Any advise is great advise for me

You should befriend a domme. We hang at the concerts, divey bars and rock and roll clubs in town. We will frequently help out people who want to learn. Ive trained girls in Toronto, NYC even Mumbai and Dubai.

I was going to say the same thing. I don't know anything about professional domme's in Indianapolis but I do know that if any of the dommes that I visited over the years told me they had a friend who would just like to watch and see what we do I would have thought that was a wonderful idea, especially as beautiful as you are. Would probably have paid extra for the thrill of it. And the domme might even get an increase in customers.

Also, you can come down to where I live and practice on me.

That was very helpful, Thanks! It's difficult to find a Domm in my area willing to help but I will certainly see what my area offer as fas as bdsm events. You pointed out a lot of things I was asked before by this new guy.

& Lol, yes Ive been getting some amusing email . I'm just like " OK dude "

You have choices on how to learn, you can be mentored by an experienced Domme (and I would hope you understand you must pay for this) or you could seek out different events and attend classes (why not start with the DomCon events that cater to professional Ladies?) or you can do some online studies via Kinky College, Kink.com University, (there are more), or go to you local neighborhood BDSM/Leather Bar, find out what is available in your local area, attend a social (meet lifestyle people in your area who just might point you to local classes they give - I'd tell them you honestly are wanting to know more (I hope this is true) and leave out that you want to make money off of your new knowledge because unfortunately, in some areas, there are still prejudices regarding this.

Have fun. Be safe

I did not read this before I posted my reply, but I totally just reiterated what you said...lol. Great advice. :)

Yes, I can say I honestly want to know more. I mean what I'm learning from this guy who been doing this for some years its great but he has me really interested to know more. It just felt good to be on the end of being the boss and controlling the session instead of being the sweet, cater to you gfe.

I'm going to be doing a lot of reading , this was all great information, especially coming from the ladies.
