Hooker money is like drinking money, if you have to keep track of it, you probably really can't afford to be spending it to begin with.

Yes I know everyone has a budget some guys like warren buffet 10k no biggie other $80 a week is a lot. Let face hobby is a worth while investment if clear you mine.

Last year I spent well under 20k. This year I have only spent just under 6k. I get plenty at home and some of the garbage in this game has greatly reduced my spending and disire to play as often as in the past.

I account for every cent. I can't sleep until every expense is recorded. I also balance my bank accounts daily. I could not live like you. I am very anal that way.

That's the code word for run...run like Forest  :)

And you balance your bank accounts daily.  Nothing better to do but watch those online balances?  That's beyond hysterical.

Please share more stories  LOLOLOL

Oh...and if all you get is 100k from some company...sounds like you might want to work a bit harder on generating some real cash flows.  Or do you have some serious "add backs" to get to a decent EBITDA (please feel free to Goggle what that is)?

Maybe work on getting that GED so you can actually stop those daily bank reconciliations.  That is seriously OCD crap...and quite unproductive in actually managing a business.

Just saying  ;)

There is no way in God's green earth I could balance each of my 14 bussinesses' accounts daily. Especially given I do not directly run any of then anymore, haven't for years. It literally takes 15 minutes to do.

And EBITDA is not useful for measuring personal income. It's main use is progecting future potential corporate income and cashe flow when looking for business loans and investments and of limited use there in my opinion. I was never talking business cash flow nor earnings, I was talking PERSONAL take home income only.

And yes I may very well be a moron. But if you thought for one second I was talking about checking any business's banking accounts balances, well, lets just say pot meet kettle.

Yes I have some OCD tendencies especially about money. I also have a food addiction I am fighting with, PTSD, ADD, and a history of severe depression. I even been committed after a suicide attempt. Well you could I guess add in dyslexia too. And your point is? If it is I am crazy, congratulations your right.

And for my education, your right it isn't that advanced. I barely graduated high school. I did go back to school not to long ago and earned a associates in general studies. I full admit I struggled in that nothing joke of a degree. So yes, I am not well educated and my writing is substandard at best. I do not claim to be well educated nor do I claim to be book smart. Congratulations you are definitely much better educated then me. Again what is your point? If it I lack a real proper education again you are right.

And I will add your right, I shouldn't have used the absolutes in my statement about degrees and income. There is a few exceptions. Owning ones own practice can produce serous income. As can a few other degree requiring carrers. That statement was said half in jest and a clear exaggeration. Ever hear of "sarcasm"? Google it if you need to. I didn't think anyone would take it seriously give absolutes are next to never correct and about everyone knows this. Even this obsessive, insane, uneductated moron knows that. Sorry I offended you as I clearly have.

So you win. I give up. Have the last word

Looking for a percentage I spent one percent it will only let me hobby once.

then you aren't spending enough.

You are a lucky man, with a take-home income of nearly $4 million.  (0.5% of $4 M is $20,000)

If I had an income like that, I think I'd probably spend a lot more than I do on this "hobby."  As it is, I probably spend around 5-6%.  But I only do that because I can easily cover all other expenses including saving for retirement.

You never make real money in a career requiring a degree, and only rarely in one with a boss.

And using absolutes is "never" a smart play  LOLOL

My little firm keeps me busy enough.  I guess if I had "14" companies to attend to, well...I'd need a few more hours than there are in a day.

Sure glad you never ever lie  ;)

Can you tell us another of your fabled stories.  They "never" cease to entertain and amuse.  And in this case, the use of absolutes is justified  LOLOLOL

Maybe tell the one where you have that hooker as a wife again?  That is quite a story.  Or maybe how you have lost half your weight?  Maybe those companies you "own" are Jenny Craig's?  Please do share.

...you don't seem to know too much about business.  Some accountants only do tax returns.

I don't know what businesses scoed has but I know several people who have more than 14 businesses, be they fast food franchises or income properties, to name just two.  You don't just lump them together - each individual franchise or property has to keep separate income and expense records.  Therefore, they are considered separate businesses even though they are all in the same field.

I'm sure it'll be fascinating.

Is such an ugly emotion.

How is your life any different if scoed has 14 businesses or if he doesn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of?

If he's embellishing, or telling the truth, it really should be none of your concern.

but, I will concede he did a pretty good job defending himself against the good doctor. lol

Hmmm, maybe I will start fucking with him again now that I know he can properly defend himself?

I don't like to pick on the helpless, it's kind of boring to tell FatVern over and over again that he's a moron, everyone knows the real morons on the board and picking on the truly stupid isn't any fun, besides after a while if you keep arguing with a moron, people start having trouble picking out which party is the actual moron. Just ask Jake from State Farm if you doubt me. lol

Sorry doctor, but I think I might just have to give this round to the humorless ex fat fuck. hmm, Humorless Ex Fat Fuck= HEFF. I think I like that better than Droopy Dog, and it seems to fit him a lot better now.

I work with clients who have degrees, and 7-8 figure incomes.  I'd call that real money. Several have bosses, too.

Mind you, as much as I'd like to be, I'm not one of them. Which severly limits my fun.

You've got clowns like scoed rambling about his Donald Trumpesqe fortune...shit, just make up any old shit and tell the board whatever you'd like.  You can tell the board that you're one of the Captains of Industry.  Who would know...let alone who would care?

I was just planning on acquiring the entire State of Utah.  Then I would demand that scoed sell his chicken farm and move to Hooterville.  It's not far from Green Acres...it's the place to be.

It's OK to just have some fun with the masses here.  Most of the crap posted is entertaining at least.  You don't honestly believe any of this garbage...do you?

Except that Oliver was a lawyer  LOL

Not sure if scoed will be allowed in Hooterville.  Well...someone has to take care of Arnold Ziffel.

Mine is close to 10% it get a food for thought. Way you worded you post you must be my ex wife.

My current income only allows me to see a provider every 2-4 months, although I see $500 to $800 per hour providers for usually 3 or more hours. I was doing more a couple of years ago when the market I work in was busier.

I guess you haven't built the empire that so many others have.

Perhaps try reconciling your bank accounts daily...seems that's the ticket to thousandaire status.

Or maybe invest a couple hundred in penny stocks.  Seems others use that to create tens of dollars  LOLOLOL

Hint...you can just tell the board that you've recently patented the "pet rock"...and are awaiting the IPO to kick in.

Nah...you can just be you and have some fun with whatever you spend on this crap.  It's just for fun anyhow.

In a 2008 article with the River Front Times, TER's founder commented that the average site user was "between 35 and 55 years old with a median income of $80,000."  Link to River Front Times article attached.  (FYI, I actually ran across this on Wikipedia a while back and PRS2005's post reminded me of it.)

I don't recall giving my income when I registered. Also, what's to keep a guy from inflating his income when he registers, if those questions are asked?

That interview was from 2008, so who knows?  Maybe TER had a different registration process back then.  Or maybe they had done a survey.  But I doubt all 27k users currently online are all multi-millionaires and billionaires.

...There are over 2.5 million registered hobbyists on TER.  I'd guess they have more disposable income than the average American to be able to afford to hobby (ripmany not included) but I don't think billionaires would really need TER.

There have been dozens of polls taken here over the years, including age and annual income.

Like most unscientific and a lot of scientific polls, I wouldn't put a lot of stock in the results, although I wouldn't say the numbers sound out of line to me. Obviously there aren't a lot of guys here making Thirty grand here, or at least I hope anyone making six hundred bucks a week isn't blowing half of it on a one hour session with a mid range hooker. OTOH based on how far the average TER member tries to stretch a dollar, I seriously doubt there are a lot of guy in the top 1/10 of 1% here either. I am sure there are some guys here who make up into the seven digits and I am sure there are a lot more making at least mid six digits, or at least I hope the guys living in LA, LV or NYC who are supporting the many $800-1000 hr hookers that work in those cities aren't doing so on a hundred grand a year.

Keeping all that in mind, $80K a year sounds about right as an average, at least for guys living in cities like Atlanta, where I can see a guy making $1,500 a week skimming off a couple of hundred each week to see a hooker once or twice a month.

I would wonder about where he got his data.

I have never given anyone from TER income information.

88% of statistics are made up, on the spot.

But that's down from 400%, so that's OK.

I work for the Federal Budget Office, in case you were wondering.

And I do hobby with that money but I know how much it was compair to my total of record expenses.

I'm spending my kids inheritance on pussy, oh crap that's right, I don't have kids.

I can't take it with me when I go, sure as hell no reason in lining my pine box with $100 bills before shoving my remains into the kiln.

So, I'm spending the cash I've saved my entire life. My savings keep increasing though, so I'm not spending more than I put away, this is a pretty good formula, I highly recommend.

What percentage of my income is that? None of your damned business!
