Many people do take offense to my joke's, thin skin, or underlying personal issues are usually the reason.

He mixed up "being" a joke with "making" a joke. For someone with his limited intellectual capacity, an easy mistake to make.
I was supposed to, but she canceled her tour. Shame, cause I just got a new job and wanted to celebrate with a bang, and I'm busy every single weekend of this month so I guess my celebration bang will happen next month
