This whole entire business is crude... So what exactly are you trying to say there? I can see the discomfort in another man being in provider photos but getting all wet with tears about a provider posing with a strap on and dildos is a bit of a reach.
If it were me and the lady had other photos I wouldn't pay it any mind because it obviously isn't being marketed to me. Obviously she has clientele that enjoy that sort of thing. So she posts a photo to tantalize those specific clients
There is no "discomfort" for me no matter what kind of ads a provider posts, some things turn me on however and others turn me off. A guy in the pic, especially if the guy occupies a prominent part of the pic is a total turnoff. Dildos are less of a turn off, but certainly NOT a turn on to me.
Now a woman wearing a strap on in her ads is a total turnoff, and it's VERY unlikely I would ever respond to such an ad, but as you said, Obviously I am NOT the kind of client such a provider is attempting to target. That said, most ads are designed to appeal to as broad a segment of potential customers as possible, running off potential customers is not what MOST advertisers are trying to do. Advertisers in "niche" markets are a different story of course.

These pictures are a marketing tool, so whether they will work for you personally depends not so much on whether guys in general like them, but whether the guys in your target market like them. The benefit of any doubt that if they are displaying "insertables" on their website that they would enjoy using them in themselves. Some years ago, while visiting a couple of friends who attended UC Berkeley, we took a trip to SF and do the tourist thing by spending the day in the downtown area perusing stores. I was wearing dark shades so my eyes had to take a moment to adjust as I walked into the stores.
