When I saw the first post about Skylar I noticed that she had no reviews. After being burned (before learning about TER), I have generally never seen a girl who wasn't well reviewed. But she LOOKED so nice that I thought I'd try her out. I  called back to cancel the appt after getting cold feet however. Now, after seeing the ambiguous and negative posts and reviews on her I'm glad I cancelled. My question is, if she is not legit, then why did she post on the board in the first place? The goal of her post was to generate activity/business. By doing that, generating activity/business by posting on the board, her M.O. , either for the better or the worse, will soon be found out. And more posts and reviews will be put up. In other words, why would a ripoff want to attract attention on TER. Wouldn't she want to stay off a board like this? I would have thought so? Anyway, was I wrong to assume that she MUST be somewhat legit JUST because she posted in the first place?

It's possible that the "providers" may be self-deluded to the point that they actually believe they are providing escort-level services, when they really are little more than cash-n'-dash girls. In the past, our two most famous S.D. rip-offs, Bridgette and Austin, have attempted to redefine the term "escort" to describe their services.

Another possibility is that these girls may have such a high opinion of themselves (and, conversely, a low opinion of us), that they can successfully con us out of our money, even using our own discussion boards. After all, posting on our boards is really not much different to them than advertising on a commercial website, except that it's cheaper.

Your overriding question, though, is valid. Why post when, sooner or later, these "providers" will be outed as nothing more than scams? I'm not sure that these girls have thought it out to this logical conclusion. Look - we're not dealing with Professor Moriarity here. Just because they may be beautiful, doesn't mean that they have anything upstairs. Look at Kristin Rossum in San Diego. She's beautiful enough to have anyone she wanted; why didn't she just divorce her husband instead of killing him. Maybe we just breed beautiful, dumb airheads in S.D.

2sense, You make a lot of sense and did so in a gentleman's fashion. It's enlightening to read decent and rather well educated points of views.

By the way, whatever happened to the escort advertisement board?  Seems like more and more of the original posts on the SD board are advertisements that result in sometimes bizarre threads.

The advertisement board was removed as a result of the bust of TBD. I recall that TER was going to have their attorneys look over the books and see if they could put it back up. I guess that they can't. Bummer.
I too am a littl tired of all the self promotion. Some advertise here far more than others. If the provider has a link with a post realted to another subject, that's fine. But, more and more, we are seeing a provider just saying "Hi" and telling us how available she is.
I recetly had a provider email me via TER. She simply stated that she would like to see me again. That was nice. I hope to see her again soon. It was more intimate than a "calling all hobbyists" on the main board.
I know that times are tough, at least for some of us. Just my .02 cents.
