Sad hooker got busted. Working in Illegal business and promoting illegal business on boards and websites.Police want to shut down illegal business. All level hookers and clients are at risk in illegal business.

Ok, so I've never posted on here but I am really upset. For the past few months I have been harassed and stalked by a client. We have many girls in our place so I know he's been here cause he knows our location. I have rejected many people if they don't verify correctly, or if they make me feel uncomfortable in any way. After all, safety is number one and we have to ensure that at all times. This person has repeatedly called with a voice changer threatening me, made fake emails and using other people's LinkedIn profiles for verification, sent fake references, broke into my email and backpage account. I've had to change all my passwords because I keep getting hacked by this individual. I mean the list goes on. He told me he would write me fake reviews and keeps calling obsessively with fake numbers and emails. I've been verbally threatened and harassed non stop for a few months and now this jerk keeps writing me bad reviews from different accounts like he previously promised . TER does not do a good job protecting us and I really hope they can have a better verification process because this is messing with my livilihood. Most importantly, I am scared for my safety. I don't know what to do

Rip, have you ever considered being a life coach?  Your advice is usually spot on!

they say you don't offer sex -- which in the USA probably doesn't get you completely off the hook with regards to prostitution I suspect but might help. If so you might consider reporting a crime. You could also start with talking with your ISP about where these attacks are coming from (you might consider having a profession scan your computer to see if its been hacked or if it just someone cracking your passwords -- and perhaps start using better passwords?)

Your ISP (and others) can tell you the path the emails traversed and if you've had someone logging in to your account that was not you can look at the IP Addresses that were logged. From there you can probably determine if the activity involved crossing state lines. If so you can probably report it to the FBI (or possible the USPS depending on content) and not have to worry as much about local police being more interested in you and your activity than about the real criminal.

That said, you might also want to run this through the legal forum for some comments as those guys do seem to have good legal understanding (I would guess there are more than a few there well versed and experienced in law and legal processes).

...are you getting hacked? gmail won't even allow multiple failed logins.
"last account activity" in lower right corner of gmail shows all ip addresses logged in.

trojan keylogger,

get a tech savvy friend and watch him disinfect your computer

Have them all checked out and cleaned as in yesterday, and install the best antiviral and firewall software you can afford. Change all your passwords, all of them. They likely are all comprised.

You will also will want to save all of these threatening communications. Sadly you will likely have to lawyer up and get a restraining order and you will need evedence of that. If that doesn't work you will have to go to the police. This has risks. As I said you will be well advised to lawyer up.

One last thing if you are unable to lawyer up for whatever reason and can't get a restraining order for whatever reason. One last thing you can try. Go way under the radar for a while and only see regulars. Maybe if he thinks your gone he may move on. Changing your number and email may be nessary.

Whatever you do do nit respond other through your lawyer or the courts. He is trying for that. Any contact will likely just make things worse.

I am sorry this is happening and wish I had better advice. This sucks.

I agree with others that it sounds like a keylogger and it's best to get a new device, new identity, etc. However, you will want a techie to look at your devices to determine if this is a hardware or software keylogger (the difference could give clues as to whether or not one was installed remotely or in person).

Are other girls at your location being stalked and harassed by this person? I ask because this sounds very similar to something a friend of mine went through and it turned out the stalker was not a hobbyist but someone in her life pretending to be one. The use of a voice changer may be to prevent you from recognizing a familiar voice or to mask the gender even. You may want to consider that this could be an angry ex, competitor, a rejected prospective client etc. It sounds like someone wants to torment you, but also drive you out of the business

Can't add much about what to do, but this could be someone who has no intention of booking. He might know you from elsewhere (probably no one close) or just doesn't like the idea of what you're doing.

I've really worked hard to get to where I'm at and to have someone who wants to mess with me like this is really hard on me . I've been dealing with this loser for months and there is only so much I can take . This persons moves are all very calculated . He must wake up almost everyday trying to figure out how to f*** with . He even contacts my other coworkers in body rub trash talking me . The threats as well as slander are just too much for me . I am afraid and wonder if TER can just take down my entire profile . I want to take this TER power away from him

to determine how they are accessing your accounts.  Because you need to identify your stalker.  Breaking with your location is a good idea because the problem might come from within.  Where are your devises while you are in sessions?  Are they secure?  Do not share devises with anyone.  Keep your devises in the room but out of sight during sessions.  One or more persons in your group may well know who the stalker is.

At some point you'll need legal help.  The stalker does not expect you to turn the tables...  they can harrass you because you don't know who they are.  An attorney might bring in a PI or tech investigator or you might do it first.  But a cease & desist demand letter on a Lawyer's letter head to the harrassers legal name & address will likely turn the game around (though technically it has no legal standing..  ie: a bluff).  But it established you know who they are & are prepared to go the next step.  You must be prepared to go the legal route with a restraining order & possible charges.  I do not recommend going to the Police without representation...  LE should focus on the crimes being perpitrated against you but not all LE is so enlightened...  so don't trust them.

Lawyer.  Nerd.  PI.  You might need all, but IMO I listed them in priority order.

If your local LE is unsympathetic, having a lawyer on your side can only help.  Indeed, your lawyer may advise you to contact your tormenter with some specific language to deter them...which from personal experience can be amazingly effective.

But the key thing to remember is, this individual's activities are blatantly ILLEGAL, and you are a VICTIM.  You should NOT have to fear filing a report and enlisting local LE investigative services, regardless of your profession

Use a complicated password (should look like this: K&#Rn1fdj&dcdew8dV7) and enable 2-step verification. With 2-step verification, a code will be sent to your phone after a password is correctly entered. So even if someone gets your password (can be done via a phisher... very easy especially if you have a simple password), they won't be able to access your email without the code.
