Question for the girls:  When you have a date that's been set up by email a couple of weeks in advance, how do you feel about getting an email a week or a couple of days before the date to confirm that it is still on? Does it bother you, or do you appreciate it?

Circumstances can change in a few weeks. It's best for both parties to reconfirm. The one time I scheduled weeks out and didn't check in until the day of, she had forgotten about it. I always reconfirm the day before.

Ok......I mean confirmation freak lol

Seriously, I text the night before, in the morning, and three hours before the meeting.

My time is limited and if the lady is gonna cancel, I would like to know as early as possible.

I preferr some kind of contact either an email or a call.

Best post I have read  on proper etiquette! If most ladies are like me, we plan our day around you. Getting ready for you, being on time, asking ourselves? Will he show? or should I accept another date just in case?

Confirmation, communication, is the best thing! Thanks so much for sharing! Kelley

With the number of X factors that can wreck plans, confirmation is great - IN MODERATION.  To make things easy on the meeting day, I ask meeting participants to confirm their interest roughly two hours prior to appointment so I can plan my day.

Just maybe not an email every day - just check in as the date gets closer.
