where I was trying to be funny.

but if anyone around Boston gets the Globe, there is an article about a 90 year old man who called the cops on a provider who ripped off a gold chain of his.  The cops initially charged him with solicitation but dropped the charges after they took pity on him.  They should be giving him a medal.

The provider did get charged with theft and prostitution.

She ought to face elder abuse as well

I think all prostitution-related charges should have been dropped for both, if they were dropped for the (unnamed) man. :-

Can't agree with that assessment.

If a client robs a provider the provider ought to be able to go to the police and have the client charged.  Because robbery ought to be worse under the law than sex for pay.  (It should be legal, but that is a different discussion.)

If either party steals from the other during p4p, the other should be able to go to the cops. However, the charges should be about theft. Both parties were still participants in p4p, but only one got charged for it.

I can't believe a guy in the hobby thinks she should be charged for hooking but the old fuck gets a break? Maybe he was an asshole and she should have stolen his clothes and his walker too. Unless
it was my father. Then it's ok!

As it should be! Those cops loaded on every charge they could.
Had little to do with P4P activity.
I suspect this isn't her first rodeo.
It takes a heartless bitch to rip off a guy that old.

I would accept that logic if the cops were as concerned about loading up every charge they could when the shoe is on the other foot.

When the police informed him that they would have to charge him with solicitation after reporting the theft, the cheeky old bastard replied:  "I don't give a f**k, I'm 90 years old".
That's chutzpah right there
