Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seemed that for quite awhile there, "UTR provider" meant the lady in question did not have an online presence. No reviews, no website, nada.
Then I recall years back reading a review of a provider who the reviewer termed "under the radar" with a link to her escort blog. There didn't seem to be any ads or other web presence for her; just the blog which had no pics or rates, just an email to reach her. OK..... yeah, that's pretty "under the radar" in my opinion.
In the past year or so since I've been back in the business, I've noticed this term being employed more and more loosely. I see ladies on P411 calling themselves such; they've got pics, reviews & rates posted and sometimes discreetly mention what activities to expect with them. Hmmmmmm..... that doesn't seem like she's flying under the radar to me.
Just last night I came across a profile of a lady who repeatedly states she is "very UTR".... but everything about her website & multiple ads across all the major escort malls say otherwise.
So in this case, does her use of this term simply mean she doesn't have a billboard and put a red light in her hotel-room-window??
Have you noticed this sort of thing too?
Has "UTR" gone the way of "GFE" where it just means whatever-the-crap the provider using it WANTS it to mean? In other words, nothing?
... there's some kind of web presence, eg P411, and there may be a TER profile (likely with no recent reviews) but no personal web site, no ads, no posting here or elsewhere, and requests to clients for no reviews and no shills. I know several providers who fly that way. Maybe it's not using a stealth plane, but it is flying lower than the typical provider.
Was just filling in for another provider who had a scheduling mixup with me. The first girl apologized profusely (made it up in a future session as well) and set me up with the UTR chick. She was a college student full time and didnt advertise except by word of mouth through friends and clients. She was afraid her family would find out if she advertised. However, she was very good but would accept no reviews and asked rhat I not pass on her info to anyone without asking her first as she is a very busy person. She did give me her number and I have seen her again once when I had a last minute whim. I called her and she was available. She came out to see me near my town (rather than me travelling into NYC) which was a major plus for me. Lookswise she was OK, but the service was fantastic. As a true UTR, she doesnt want her info spread, so I won't so dont ask. I keep her number and have called 2x to just say a friendly hi and let her know I am still interested and to see if she is still up for a date on occasion. She emailed me a few weeks ago with her availability for the summer, I might see her, but I might not, summer is hectic and there are many choices out there especially my two ATF's and a third west coast touring gal who might be moving east soon who was quite nice. Gone from famine to feast on choices lately.
I generally work what may be considered UTR or semi-UTR by your standards, but I don't use that word in my marketing....because I don't really have any marketing. I've worked and then dropped off seeing only my regulars and trading clients with some girlfriends off the grid (or some of the clients recommend friends). Over the years, I've gotten back in for a couple of months just to bring in some new blood or I'll do a big work trip if I need a hefty amount fast, before going subterranean again. When I'm off, which is most of the time, I only use the Internet very occasionally for email. Even that is rare as I mainly use texting or calls for communication. No advertising, no reviews. No social media.
I'm sure it's not as lucrative, but I feel less stress and higher time-affluence working this way. Plus, the LE concerns I have typically revolve far more around hotel staff than clients.
No UTR did not go the way of "GFE", and btw the notions of GFE vs not-GFE are still very much alive too. Providers could say that they GFEs all they want but if they're not - and hobbyists usually have general idea of what GFE should mean - the word spreads like lightening and they become either YMMV, i.e. like a box of chocolate, which limits their clientele severely or non-GFEs which limits their clientele too but in a different way.
But back to UTRs. There are still plenty of UTR providers out there with "No reviews, no website, nada". You just don't hear much about them because they are well... UTR
In fact I know of one girl who I personally never seen but I know that she just went dark because people began to wonder whatever happened to her and one of her clients wrote that she now "Has enough regulars that she sees weekly."
Some UTRs are available limited number of days/week and have such a superior customer service that well-wishers make sure that they never need to advertise. It also involves pricing yourself correctly, usually about $50 to $100/hour under the TER common non-UTR rate and of course having an acceptable appearance. There are UTRs who stayed UTR under such conditions for years.
Then there are those that only do outcalls and just want to have limited number of agreeable regulars to supplement their income.
UTRs usually begin with limited advertising but once they acquire their target number of clients they go dark, change their numbers, and only operate via word of mouth. Then if they're of acceptable appearance it's only a matter of providing great service for just under TER common non-UTR pricing and then some of their clients themselves would usually make sure that they stay UTR.
UTRs are usually discussed on local forums with limited or no escort presence. Some of them are even discussed on open forums there but their contact information gets passed around privately and only to those that holder of that contact information for one reason or the other feels good about.

There may be girls like that but many UTR girls have another name or work at an agency. Sometimes guys pay higher prices because they think a "UTR" girl is special and worth more.
