I'm not saying that I "get it," but I'll tell you I usually see it.

Because most of us live a lot of the time in money-centric world, if that construct has any meaning. It's hard to see how anything can except money can have variable value. One way they could look at it is that the ladies have a different currency which they want to purchase as many dollars as they can, and the dollars are the product we're selling, and we (clients) want to get as much of their currency as we can for what we're selling.

If a woman asks too much of my product for the currency which they are offering to buy those dollars with, me? I just move on. She can ask what wants and probably somebody will want her currency and things will work out for everyone.

But if it appears that she is offering an awful lot of her currency, then I'll provide as much of the money product as I need to get it. Within reason.

But why expect her to offer more if I don't want to give what she asks in the first place? Moving on without it isn't going to kill me. So...shouldn't it all work out?

I just don't get it. I have seen countless thread on getting discounts. Other threads about how they feel that they are owed on because they see a lady every so often. And others complaining about the ladies pricing their services as they do. I even seen posts complain about guys willing to pay asking price. I just have to ask why? I am not attacking, I just don't get it. personally I hate haggling and will not do it in my recreational activities. I do it in my profession and it just isn't fun, at least to me it isn't.

the guys on here are cheap and privileged.  it would be like being on a automotive forum and seeing nothing but complaints about how expensive lambroghinis are.  dude if you can't afford it stick to your toyota corolla.

i see the girls i can afford.   i never ask for discounts or otc time.  i  never haggle.  if i'm broke, i don't see anyone for a while.  if there's someone i really want to see and she's out of my price range, i save up.

you don't go to the liquor store and haggle about the 20 year old scotch.  you pay the marked price.

you are 100$ scoed.

If the Gents want to see a lovely lady then he needs to respect her policies and or save up your donation funds.  It's really that simple.  Some providers will offer once a month or once a year "Specials" and that's their own thing they want to offer.  But I agree 100% on Don't haggle the donation request!  That's disrespectful.....xoxoxox. If you're short on your "Hobby fund" then wait till you have the full amount or wait for her "Specials" on HER schedule....Xoxoxoxox.

Most don't have the money to hobby. They are taking the money from another purpose to be able to hobby (borrowing against house, digging into kids college funds, not saving retirement) it goes on and on.

Kids' college funds?  Those Bastards!!!  Heaven forbid today's kids should have to work their way through college by getting a job like we did in my day.

Except that a lot of those jobs are taken by broke seniors and tuitions have skyrocketed. Scam.

This malarkey gets poured upon the millenial generation. It's entirely unfounded.

In YOUR day the average PUBLIC university tuition, room and board was ~ $2,000. The minimum wage was $2.10. In 952 minimum wage hours (18 per week) you could afford the whole thing.

In 2007, the average public university tuition, room and board was ~ $14,000. The minimum wage was $5.15. It would take TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTEEN HOURS (that's 52 hours a week of work, not counting schoolwork) to pay for it.

So, gimme a friggin break.

at minimum wage after a few months in a job is probably wasting their time going to college anyway. There are more grants available now to offset rising costs. A neighbor kid just graduated from Notre Dame where she got 65% paid through various scholarships and grants. She had a job (substantially above minimum wage) for the rest and graduated debt free.  Parents paid less that 10%.  I know several others who have the same story.

The sense of entitlement among many millennials is largely why most aren't getting anywhere after college.

and start fighting the 1%.  they've manipulated the economiic infrastructure so income flows upward, not downward, and certainly not fairly.

although what this has to do with hobbying i don't know.

Good advice about clients on paid sessions.

Why do you care what or how others play the game?  I've always played it the way the ladies ask, and I've made more friends than I ever thought possible.  Don't worry about the BS...hobby the way you are most comfortable with.  And worry not about our lady friends...they know who is worth their time, and not.

Many people I know who have disposable income like deals.  Deals are pretty much how they made the disposable income in the first place.   Sort of tough to turn that off.  However, I do understand your point that "turning it off" is attractive for some such as yourself as part of their recreation.

There are also folks who like to stir the pot.

All that said - while I do not haggle with a young lady for her services as if I were buying a rug of dubious origin - I do negotiate.  We all do in P4P - negotiation is the determination of mutually acceptable terms and conditions for service.  You negotiate when you set a time and place for an appointment.  You negotiate when you choose "options" such as PSE or GFE or whatever.   Often I am offered financial incentives as part of those negotiations.  On occasion what we negotiate is not on the "bill of fare" - and she'll give me a price.

Price is an obvious aspect of a P4P negotiation - so it really doesn't surprise me that some folks want to discuss pricing strategies on this forum because this is an obvious place to discuss it

lot of guys Love to PLAY with the numbers that you think you are worth.
There are so many factors for them to play with, because everyone has different things they hold a value to.

The "haggling" for "deals" and "discounts" is in their nature. (ladies love a "deal" too)
It is not to be taken personally.

Kind of like the numbers we are given in our reviews.
Don't take it personally

Why does someone requesting information as to the possibility of frequent flyer miles constitute manipulation, or draw the comparison of a flea market? The fact of the matter is that those type of arrangements exist, as well as many others. This is a hobby forum. Why can’t we talk about the hobby? I can afford a lamborghini. The fact that I don’t choose to buy one doesn’t make me a cheap ass. It simply means I choose not to buy one.

And since you brought up flea markets, that’s the one business model this hobby most resembles. Cash only in most cases. A vast array of choices in a small area. No guarantees about the product. No returns if I’m dissatisfied with the product. Not sure if the product is legitimate. Deceptions regularly at play.

As far as gentlemen trying to manipulate providers, I think the opposite is more true. I’ve been no showed, strung along, kicked out early, upsold, ignored, deceived, attempted robbery, had ladies not shower, not honor a grandfather arrangement, have a gentleman answer the door for them, takes calls, talk the whole hour, and fall asleep. I’ve been manipulated like hell. On the other hand, I’m always on time, always have the correct change, always follow protocol to the tee, always shower, and use mouthwash immediately prior, always have a smile on my face, and never ever haggle about her price. If a lady says she’s prepared lunch for me otc, who am I to say no, unless pressed for time? Again, this is a hobby forum. Being invited to lunch otc has been part of the hobby for me on various occasions, with various ladies. Do I expect it? No. Does it make me cheap? No, but lucky for sure. Let’s talk about it

nobody called anybody cheap because they can't afford a lambroghini.  we label them low class for trying to haggle the lambroghini salesman down to toyota prices.

nobody called you cheap for accepting otc lunch.  we say men are privileged jerks for expecting it.

this isn't a flea market, and if it seems like it, it's because this business is still underground.  go to a legal brothel in nevada and haggle.  see how far that gets you.  usually to the door.

... a product or service and some mongers look at what is being traded is personal and intimate. Those who see it as a simple product/service will deal with it as just that. Those who are buying an intimate fantasy will treat it as that.

Finding balance can be difficult.

Open up your very own WhoreMax if you don't like haggling.

If I was a whore I wouldn't even sell my ass around here, too many cheapos and lesbos

For some it truly is and is a very good job/gig if one knows how to maximize their hustle. Also, the earth is 4.6 billion years old and man is almost as old as that (a few billions years off but not much)... Please define "job". Please define it without social stigma and judgement. Let's forget western teachings and think about what work really is, what a job really is. Last I checked, a job could be ANYTHING in 2016.

asking fat vern to do something without social stigma and judgement?  i only have one thought on that...

If you think about what is important to you about a hobby session is it saving a few bucks or having a good time without the distraction of money ? Make that decision before you make an appointment so you wont be distracted by it during your session. The providers deserve to make a good living so I believe price negotiation after the appointment is agreed upon is inappropriate , and most certainly will  affect the success of your session.

If you don't have 12 bucks, move on and find a girl for 8.

Amen. Play within your means, do your research (including reading reviews), and you can have a great time with the ladies who are available.
Silly and pointless to question a lady's rates. They base them on supply and demand for what they have to offer. Nothing unique about that.
Having fun is much preferable to spending time here questioning and complaining IMHO.

As I have stated before, I do this by setting aside $20 per week.  Does it suck?  Absolutely.  Is it the providers' faults for charging high prices?  Hell no.  I'd charge an arm and a leg, too, if I was a hooker.  I never haggle, which is probably why I've at least been granted the privilege of grandfathered rates.

I need great grandfather rates.

This is a business transaction. Providers are selling and hobbyists are buying. Furthermore, it's a person to person under the table business model. In any situation of this sort, there will always be haggling and bargaining. I don't do it myself, but I can certainly understand people who do it. If you're a provider who doesn't like it, then you can easily choose to ignore and not see that hobbyist. No need to call them out as cheapasses. Similarly, hobbyists should expect to be ignored by some if they try to haggle but also be successful with others. No need to call out anybody either. It's the provider's choice.

I tend to see that both sides have people who are entitled. Providers who complain about hagglers publicly are basically entitled and view their bodies as some amazing shit. It's a version of GPS and it's not a good look. Hobbyists who bitch about prices also are entitled. Just do what you feel like doing and be respectful. Whether haggling or not, if either side comes with an attitude, then they are the ones being entitled.

Your going to get bullied.

TER has become a bully's playground which is why a lot of women have been jumping ship.

We become who we associate with. Guys are treating it like its a flea market and it does begin to undermine many women's belief in their value and they begin to agree to the haggled rates, become resentful and start getting jaded, which then bites the hagglers back. Vicious circle and not a pretty one.

It certainly is a market.  Providers are in it for the bucks.  Of course they are human beings.  So is the guy who comes to clean out the septic tank.  I'll treat them all with respect, but I'm going to find the one who will do a good job for the least amount of money
