I found this bit of wisdom for all of us guys in the hobby:))
This was on Miss Marla Lyons website---Boston:))
By Osho:

If you love a flower, don't pick it up,
Because if you pick it up it dies and it ceases to be what you love.

So if you love a flower, let it be.
Love is not about possession, Love is about Appreciation.

Over the years that I have been in the hobby, I have wanted to pick some of the lil "flowers" that  have tugged at my heart strings in a manner that set them on fire;P~~~

Thanks to Osho, I understand and can apply his wisdom to the wild, and beautiful things(ladies) growing in our "garden" here in NC, and let them be appreciated over and over as one would Osho's flowers;P~~

Hmmm, believe coffee is made, gotta go sit on the patio and appreciate the memories of the "flowers" that I've admired and left alone for others to do the same:)

especially in a time when so many faulty analogies are tossed our way.

Thanks for sharing that. I've always enjoyed well-phrased sayings that make you think about different parts of life, and that quote from her website is especially nice. I recently read another one that I liked. "Life is a journey. Time is a river. The door is ajar." It can mean lots of different things, but here in hobby-land it makes me think about all the possibilities that await with beautiful, fun people, and that I really ought to not let them pass me by. The people here are so much more candid (at least among ourselves) about enjoying the sensual things in life without remorse. I have a short bucket list of interesting people I've yet to meet in my journey through life, and it's no ones fault but my own that I haven't done so yet. I've been in the hobby for many years, even if I don't actively post much here, and through TER I suppose the door is ajar for me (and all of us) to meet some fascinating, exciting people.  .. I need to do just that.

Bird, don't let those pesky weeds distract ya either ...I know how annoying it can be AND

please don't pick that new flower I told ya about ... I have plans for it that includes making

a small bouquet of sorts ... I just love this gardening stuff!!
